The malt is there as is the nutty yeast. The appearance is light amber with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s good. Palidor19 (1791), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 18, 2008 not too pleasant on the aroma front, the beer its self seems to be lacking all of the good quality which me a outstanding IPA. malts seem a bit astringent and slightly tangy. drpimento (865), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Served with a light, off-white head and some lace. Color is a nice, clear, medium dark amber. Flavor is like the nose: malty, toffee, caramel, burnt sugar, and earthy hops. Pretty good beer. A different IPA than a lot of the American micros. Nice hop/burnt sugar finish. Could be a session if you’re up for those kinds of flavors. mybrainhurts (214), North Dakota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 16, 2008 Grassy, herbal hop aroma. Biscuit and grains also in the nose. Piney, bitter hop overtones and a pleasant malty sweet backbone. Hops linger after the swallow. I like this one. jkaiser (220), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2008 Updated: Nov 21, 2008Nice drawing on the label of an old wooden brewery. Cloudy brass-light brown pour with a little foam and sheetlike lacing. Juicy aroma of pine/floral hops and a bit of yeast, grain, and lemon. Somewhat sharp and dry hoppy flavor, bready and crisp. Are those Cascade hops taking charge there? There is definitely a West Coast influence. This tastes more like a strong PA or an American PA than an IPA. There is a slightly acidic, baking soda-like flavor, and tingly carbonation. Very nice. brewblackhole (1385), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2008 Aroma has an off aspect to it,the aroma is almost perfumey,in a flowery type of way, I have smelled this in other IPA’s most often Anchor Liberty, its almost like a fake hop aroma is added, taste is fine, hops are still flowery, plenty of bitterness, not much caramel thanks Ubeamartian
