Smelled nice, piney, floral hops, little bit of citrus. Taste was much the same, very nicely balanced. Nice IPA, certainly not the best I’ve had. cbeers21 (583), Miami, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 30, 2007 Copper with nice white head. Piney, floral hop aromas buoyed by caramel, and toasted citrus/vanilla malts. The brew itself is quite pleasing to taste, with delicate hop notes balancing the light roasted flower/vanilla and toffee/orange malts. This brew provides wonderful balance for an IPA and while not as punchy as others, it is a quenching and delicious offering mhot55 (99), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 29, 2007 light orange color with a slight and quickly disappearing head. smells malty, like an amber. body is slightly different than normal IPA’s. it feels a little flat at first, even a touch heavy with malt sweetness. Then the hops kick in leaving a good balanced bitterness to go along with the sweetness. and then the hops take over, leaving a piney and resin-like note. The carbonation is apparent when you feel the hops. you almost get a flat feel at first. Feels a little sticky and sweet afterwards. a simple description would be a highly hopped amber. This was a good IPA, not the best, but it offered a different feel and taste than normal IPA’s dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2007 12 oz. Bottle. Pours a golden color with a white foam head, one finger thick, that disapates, but leaves a small foam skimming the top. Smells of floral and citrus, and a touch of malt. Nice hop bitterness, earthy/floral-ie rather than over citrusy. Malt balances the hoppiness. Upon first taste, I thought it was a very "middle of the road" IPA. Upon further inspection, that’s the whole genius of it. It IS middle of the road. Definately held up against the big ole’ New York Strip I was enjoying with it. Good stuff. Definate repeat. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 27, 2007 Hoppy, caramel aroma. Medium-heavy citrus, light caramel, not sweet, pretty balanced. Maybe a bit on the sour side. Peel and some olives in a long bitter finish. Good, but I was looking for better from this brewery. Homebrewerguy (285), Oil City, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2007 I really liked this middle of the road IPA. This is a more traditional English style than most others. The generous hopping was balanced nicely by a good maltiness with some sweetness. BREWMUSKCLES (1087), New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2007 A MEDIUM IPA. WELL MADE AND PAR FOR THE COURSE. BALANCED GOOD. SWEETISH MALT AND STRONGISH FLAVOR THOUGH NOT OVERLY BITTER. JK (2964), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2007 A mild but pleasant ipa. The aroma has some hops, but they are not intense, and have a citrus character. Flavor is balanced by lightly bitter hops and sweet malt.
