Apr 15, 2007 Poured very pale with a white head. Aroma was light citrus and earthiness. Flavor had a nice light hoppiness that was real easy to drink. A light bitterness was there to back it all up. Solid beer overall that you could drink a lot of without knowing it. Very well balanced.

Apr 11, 2007 Pours a crisp, clean amber with a nice head and good lacing. Smell wasn’t as hoppy as I hoped for. I could smell pine, citrus and some earthy tones. There was too much malt for an IPA, and the hops aren’t as apparent as they should have been. I did taste some of the classic IPA notes like citrus and pines. Overall, not a bad beer, but this doesn’t hold a candle to some of the big IPAs out there.

Mar 27, 2007 Aroma is malty with grassy woody piney hops. Flavor is about the same plus an orange peel kinda aftertaste-hop profile is slightly limited despite the description. Not bad but with so many good IPAs out, its tough competition.

Mar 17, 2007 Aroma has a little too much malts. Taste is not too hoppy at first, but has a good grainy quality. Decent enough to have again.

Mar 15, 2007 Verre de dégustation, provenant d’un fût, dégusté au Atlantic City Beer Festival 2007 (Atlantic City, NJ). Arôme: Odeur d’houblon très présent. Apparence: La couleur est blonde orangée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux avec une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’orange avec une pointe de pamplemousse. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Présence d’amertume en arrière goût. (Rating #897)

Mar 15, 2007 Nice sessionable IPA, if a bit tame. The body’s a light, slightly hazed amber capped with a modest, creamy head that laces in sheets. The aroma’s sweet oranges and tangerines with a hit of lemon zest. Fortunately the hop bitterness picks up a bit in the flavor, but it’s fairly evenly balanced with the caramel from the malt. Mar 12, 2007 It’s always good to drink new york, and if it’s a good beer as well all the better. It looks good in the glass, with a decent amount of head. I’m not much of a pale ale person, but this is a representative example of the style that’s pleasant to nonhopheads.
