The aroma is very grassy and hoppy, while the flavor is fresh and hoppy - even with notes of the hop oils. The mouthfeel is very smooth. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark

It’s a pleasant beer, with a respectable hopping leading to a long final, quite close to the original style; not much malt body, nor powerful aromatic hopping. argo0 (6978), Washington DC, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 23, 2006 (22oz bottle) Medium off-white head atop a slightly hazed golden/amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange/floral, caramel, some grapefruit, light plum. Taste is medium sweet, floral/orange, some caramel, grapefruit -- seems dry-hopped. Occasionally a tinge of metallic makes itself known. Medium bitterness. Watery medium body, light acidity, pretty drinkable. MesandSim (5940), London, Greater London, England

An excellent darkish gold with an orange hue, really clean and with a very good, lasting white head. Pleasing dusky hop snout with the trans-Atlantic varieties working really well together. Seems like a bit of Brambling Cross and some EKG. Some really good bitter alpha stuff coming from the U.S. side too. In fact, the more I sniff at it, the better it gets. That’s an adorable aroma. Faint, very faint cardboard notes make the English aspecteven more believeable once in the mouth. Tastes very much indeed like a British bottle conditioned ale with some extra hops. Superb balance of bitterness and flavour. A little too much caramel from the malt though and it’s just a little astringent in the aftertaste but other than that this is a lovely refreshing IPA with just the right amount of bite. Not overdone at all. Excellent length, bags of flavour. Very British all round really, especially on the palate. You American folks would probably call it thin, I’d call it downable, and that it is. If it wasn’t for the astringent finish and a very slight stickiness from the hops, this would be very very good indeed. As it is, it’s just great. Under-rated if you ask me.
