(bottle). Clear copper color. Medium off white head. Light hop aroma. Light sweet malt and hop flavor. Avg duration. Smooth finish with light bitterness. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. Good lacing.

My nose is a little stuffy tonight...I can get a hint of hops but there is a lot of sweetness in the aroma. A lighter color than I expected with some decent head. Taste is sweet and sort of dirty like when you taste dust on accident. It is thin and a bit wattery. I don’t see how this got such a high rating from what I am tasting.

Bottle. Poured a medium dark amber with a foamy white head. Nose has some decent hop notes with a hint of the malts but overall on the light side. Interesting balance of flavors the pleasantly surprised me. It tastes as it states, a combination of two ipa styles. Some citrus notes with the hops, followed by lots of malts. By no means bland. Reminded mr of a hoppier sam Adams Boston lager, with a bunch more hops.

Bottle from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in DC. Pours a clear amber color with a one-finger white head that settles to a film. Very good lacing on the glass. Aroma is pleasant, more malt-forward than your typical IPA and somewhat sweet along with floral notes. Flavor is sweet caramel malt and pale malt, as well as some hops that assert themselves more than they do in the aroma. Very floral, but has some citrus and tropical fruit qualities to it as well. Medium-bodied with more lasting hop bitterness than you’d expect from the flavor. Overall, this isn’t going to knock your socks off, but it’s good and well-balanced. Nice change of pace from your typical IPAs, and very drinkable and even sessionable despite the 6.2% ABV.

Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with no real head at all. Aroma was kinda skunky and acidic. Aroma is not like a lot of ipas. Flavor was very well balanced and some hop bite to it but not a lot. Tastes kind of sweet not like an ipa should. I was very disappointed in this beer.

the trouble with the "mix" of english and american ipa’s is that they are so different for most drinkers. the maltiness of an english ipa is good for session drinking and the hoppiness of american ipa’s makes it great to taste and enjoy, but together creates a very muddled confused beer that doesnt really work, kind of like the beligian white/ipa with the clash of the yeast and hops, just not the peanut butter/chocolate combo that it sounds like.

Copper, some lacing. Nose seems like an English-style to me, subtly malty. Palate is toffee, nicely balanced, but nothing sticks out on this one. The English side seems to dominate the American side on this one.

Pours a dull orange with a quickly dissapating white head. Nose is grassy, mild MILD citrus hops. Flavor is malty, grassy, hay, light citrus notes. Pale ale maybe? not an IPA.
