| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep rusty orange color, moderate head. Aroma is sweet and malty, not as prominent as I would have imagined. Taste is spicy and kind of doughy with high malt and vegetable character. As advertised, does taste like pumpkin pie. Palate is smooth, body is full. Not too overpowering or sweet so its a good option to pair with any food.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, fully diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with light notes of dish rag, allspice, squash/pumpkin.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic.
Unpleasant...dirty and metallic aftertaste, and a simple, somewhat tainted nose. Drain pour. Compared side-by-side with Elysian Night Owl. joeymacaroni (228), Wagontown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2009 pours straw-orange with a thin white head. nose of pumpkin pie, allspice, nutmeg, but more pumpkiny and vegetal than most I’ve had and not in a bad way. flavor has a flavor reminiscent of the pumpkin spice liqueur I bought last thanksgiving...also a nice spicy floral note not unlike some Indian incense. dry finish with a slightly malty lingering taste and fizzy mouthfeel. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Pours a sparkling pale copper with a tin white head. Aroma is cinamon, lots of nutmeg, cloves, there is a faint citrus note, a little pumpkin, a hint of toasted grain and lactose. Flavor is a little more pumpkin like than the aroma indicates, again big on nutmeg here, some cinamon, sweet cereal grain and a nutmeg and mineral finish. Palate is light to medium bodied, somewhere between creamy and slick throughout with a light, but overly sharp carbonation. Overall this was pretty good stuff, it gets a little better as it warms, a little more sweet and the spice notes become less sharp and a little earthier. Once it reached room temperature I didn’t like it quite as much though, alcohol came out though and the nutmeg sort of ran away with it.. jbye4334 (710), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 4, 2009 12 oz bottle from Jersey City Buy-Rite. Pours an attractive clear burnt orange with a medium sized foamy off white head. Aroma has the right touch of cinnamon ad nutmeg with lesser notes of all-spice and clove. The body is a little astringent for its thinness with very bubbly carbonation. Flavor starts off with lots of pumpkin pie spice and finishes with mostly a malt based body. This one reminds me a lot of Weyerbachers without the alcohol kick. TAR (2095), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Pale copper with shades of gold. Dispersed white foam exhibits adequate retention. Delicately spicy nose of cinnamon, candied pecans, vanilla, fresh bread and Munich malt (honey-drizzled biscuits). Lightly mineralic with a faint note of creamed corn and sulfur. Firm, fuzzy carbonation. Initially crisp and delicately spicy with a starchy buttress of well-textured pumpkin flesh. Lightly toasted honey-malt mimics piecrust as it begins to poke through, though the toastiness soon takes on some late astringency which tarnishes the softer, powdery malt textures. Pumpkin quickly falls by the wayside as notes of cinnamon and nutmeg persist and augment the dryness. The lack of esters furthers the curiously hollow and empty core which is marred by a distant fusel-alcohol sharpness. Vanilla continues on, imparting vague perceptible sweetness as well as some oiliness. Malt develops a firm crackery edge toward the finish, before closing with subtle notes of caramelized malt and cinnamon. A decent effort, but pretty unexciting and thin. The high level of filtration has rendered this virtually soulless and sterile.
