A- Pours a beautiful golden color with a gigantic pillowy white head... maybe a bit too large. S- Smells sweet, floral, a bit perfumey, spicy. T- Definitely spicy, very crisp, light fruits, small bit of hops on the back end. A bit of a metallic taste bugged me at the beginning but it ended up being hardly noticeable. M- Medium viscosity, crisp, dry. D- This is definitely a wonderful saison no question. Not my favorite style but it really impressed me. Perfect for a hot summer day.

750ml bottle-pours a big foamy to rocky off white head and yellow color. Aroma is barnyard, yeasty, some earthy cheese notes, saaz/grassy hops. A Belgian Golden [Duvel] comes to mind. Taste is barnyard, yeasty, light malt-some sweetness, saaz-spicy hops. Dryish finish, a lot of carbonation. [taste reminds me of a slightly sweet Duvel]. Nice beer as an American Farmhouse style. Occasional. Thanks to jwc215(BA) for sharing.

Cloudy straw color with thick dense white head that dissipated too quickly. Aroma is grassy, tart and a slight horse blanket nose. Flavor is tart and crisp like a grapefruit. Dry with stale hop flavor, slightly resembling a triple. Good summer thirst quencher.

750ml Bottle: Sweet, complex aroma. Smells of honey, yeast, spices, must, and fruit. Poured orange/amber in color with a huge, fizzy, foamy, creamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Full of medium and large-sized particles. Opaque. Excellent lacing. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of oranges, cloves, yeast, citrus, and white pepper. Medium body. Tingly, chalky texture. Lively carbonation. Sightly bitter, very dry finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity hops, earthyness and some mild barnyardy notes. Flavour is very much the same. Gets a bit more fuller and tastier once it gets warmer.

750ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Pale gold, tiny froth of a head once the initial pile had subsided. Corny, sweet aroma. Toffee-like sweet taste, sticky on the lips. Becomes a bit more treacly after a while. Not an amazing saison - not crisp or fresh, but a tempting succulent body and soft malty finish. Spoilt only by too much sticky sweetness.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Hazy golden with a largeish, pillowy head. Very crisp and grassy-aromatic-hoppy, honey-malty aroma. Flavor is exactly the same, with a hint of tartness. Smooth and honeyish with yeast, but still retaining the fresh hoppiness. Medium-bodied, refreshing palate with medium carbonation. Not a Saison Dupont, but a simple, balanced and beautiful saison - quite much like La Chouffe.
