| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Beautiful deep dark golden body with lots of sparkle, huge white head; Great nose, a little more yeast and a little fresher and it would be perfect; A little to full and not sour enough otherwise very good body; Long elegant malty finish. Great beer, not sour enough for a Saison, but great anyway. CharlesDarwin (1849), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 10, 2008 750mL Bottle. Musky mingled spice aroma, with plenty of fresh floral character, light almonds, spring breeze. Warm in a good way. Pours a brilliant, sparkling gold, clear, with soft, white head lingering above. Flavor is delicate, perfumed and rich. There’s a wonderful faint apricot and plum patois to the yeast and malt character then blends in gracefully with elegant French spices and good swirls of sugar. Rich, fragrant, and exquisite. Explosive carbonation carries alcohol and character a long way. Hops not really present. Scorchingly dry, which is fantastic. The yeast character comes forward with some play dough and must and I’m not digging that, but the remainder of the beer is really quite stunning. A perfect beer for the first real warm spring day. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Bottle. High fluffy but lasting off-white head. Slightly hazy golden to amber body. Mild and fruity aroma with spicy notes. Relatively carbonated complex sweet and fruity flavor with just a weak hint of the alcohol not too much though. Long bitter sweet aftertaste. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Shared with terminus. Pours golden and clear with a large fizzy white head. The aroma has lots of nectar fruits, some candi sugar, light banana and pepperiness - more like a tripel than a saison. Medium body with a crap ton of carbonation. The flavor starts mainly with what is on the aroma with almost a duvel / pils-like malt. The finish is fairly spicy and fizzy with lots of bananas. When the sediment is poured in there is much more saison earthy yeast and some funk. It also thankfully mutes some of the sweetness. There is great spice and tanginess with the sediment. Overall it is just an okay saison in my book. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Bottle. Golden clear colour with a huge fluffy head. Aroma of spices and dried fruit. Flavour of German hops, spices and a little caramel. gsteph (266), knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2008 Very complex indeed. Fruity esters dominate, heavy on the white grapes, apples, white peach with a basement air dankness. Pours a clear golden with a huge white pillowy head. Some stickiness left behind as it recedes. A zingy champagne like pour, both in head size and effervesence. Nicely carbonated. Flavors of fresh grapes, faint traces of tart apples, pears, and yeast. Medium body, mildly sweet, and tart with a welcomed dry finish. Superb. corby112 (752), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Pours a clear golden color with thin white head. Spicy aroma with hints of citrus and other crisp fruit. Another very quaffable beer from this excellent brewery. Nice malt presence balances out the spice and fruit (orange, lemon, apple, pear, berries) flavor.
