Bottle. [Blind tasting session @ Sk8viking] #1 Huge frothy white head that was mostly lasting. Hazy orange color. Aroma was citrus, Belgian yeast, spice, fruit, perfume, grain, and clove. Nice smooth experience. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Flavor was light sweet, with god balance bitterness. Sligtly dry finish.

Blind rating at sk8viking´s. Pours a hazy golden with a big off-white head. Very sweet with a strong Belgian yeasty fruityness - grapes. Lots of residual sugars. Hint of alcohol and metals. Sticky mouthfeel. Very high carbonation. Long dry finish.

750 ml. bottle. Pours a cloudy, golden-yellow with a large, white head. Aromas of banana, citrus, clove, and yeast. Flavors of citrus, spices, and some hop bitterness. Very carbonated but has a sort of creamy body.

Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a lazing orange head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with strong notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, spices among those coriander, and grass, leading to a dry grassy end. A interesting beer.

Hazy, sunny gold body with abundant carbonation and a big, foamy white head. Dough and pepper aroma with light floral tones and a nice ester profile overall. Flavor has round notes of orange citrus, rose, and pale nutty malt, plus soft and spicy phenols. Semi-dry with a touch of light acidity and moderate bitterness. Nice doughy texture. This is a very good American saison.

Wow, I don’t know what it was, maybe I just had a bad bottle - but this was a huge disappointment. I’m a big southampton fan but this just kind of stunk. Pours pale yellow with tons of head. Scent is lemony. Aftertaste is harsh and stale. It didn’t work for me. Brasserie Dupont from now on for this style for me

750 ml corked and caged bottle received from my Secret Santa Summer 06. Poured in to am Achouffe tulip glass. A pour direct down the middle produced a glass of pure snow white head. Very dense. The resulting beer is crystal clear golden yellow. The aroma is lemon scented Pledge, dusty, barnyard notes, and a bit of an alcohol presents. Big, almost acidic flavor. I think I can actually taste the Pledge also. Sort of a citrusy, spicy, alcoholic burning flavor. Some peppery notes in the finish. The more I try, the harder I find this brew to drink. The tongue scowering carbonation and acidic hashness is quite overwhelming. Oh well. Maybe I let it sit around too long.

Clear brighter golden pour with very nice lacing and a short white head. Aroma picked up pleasant, spicy lighter fruits and a hefty yeast presence.. dusty lemon and rather airy overall. Flavor found caramel and toffee sweetness at the base with light, airy lemon and mild dusty barnyard funk toward the back... accented nicely with spices. Great, creamy mouthfeel on this.. grainy toward the outsides of the palate with some sour accents. Tasty brew!
