Superb retention. Aroma is of coriander, fresh yeast, lemon cake. Ever changing subtleties are interesting. Light, fresh and resilient nose with notes of candy sugar that is over the top, along with slight orange and corn husk. Too much orange and sugars for my liking, not enough earthiness. Flavor seems much more balanced but far too apparent sugariness a la the tripel style really damage it’s chances as a serious quaffer. The sugar seems to keep other flavors of bready malts and hops at bay; is unapreciated. Finishes soft and long. Warming does let forth some pleasant aromas. Palate is medium, velvety. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 11, 2007 750 ml bottle. Pours out a light yellow color with a huge white head on it. It smells like grass, hops, oak, musty, and sugars. Taste is sweet and bitter with some citrus notes and grassy flavors. Pretty interesting, and damn good actually. Should hold up to a couple of years of aging, but I dont know why you would age it, because its good as it is. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 9, 2007 Cloudy straw color yielding a rocky white head. Aroma spicy, floral, reminiscent of lemons, also a sweet haylike smell. Light, well carbonated palate. Taste has a sharp, almost tart start, and slightly bitter with an earthy, grassy finish. There’s a sourness in the finish that wasn’t entirely pleasant. Pretty good, but tastewise it wasn’t up to par. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Nice golden color with a big fluffy white head. Great smell in this one. Very saison-ish. Citrus fruit, spices, orange. smells very fresh. I think maybe a little too much carbonation in this one even though I know saisons are like that, but I though this one had a little too much. It was still pleasant though but I liked the smell better than the taste. Citrus fruit, coriander, orange peel, other spices were included in the finish. Tone down the carbonation a little and I think it improves. Maybe let in sit for a year or two. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Pours hazy orange with a massive off-white head. The head on this beer kept growing and wouldn’t slow down, it was regenerating faster then it could fade away. Light spicy nose with a clove character and light straw and hops. Flavor had a really bitter kick for a saison, good dryness and fizzy finish. I was hoping for a bit more wild yeast funkiness to it, but mostly this beer sided with the cleaner belgian yest, no sourness or other funkiness. Easy drinking tasty beer, but I was hoping for a little more of a unique side to it, nothing really made this memorable. bu11zeye (5715), Frisco, Texas, USA
