750ml, sly fox bottling. thanks to jah noth for this. pours a slight gusher, hazy golden with huge white head. nose has loads of barnyard funk, citrus, lemon, grassy, and some toasted malts and stale hops. taste is very crisp, peppery, yeasty, mild orange, and a nice toasted funk to it. some buttery notes too.some mild sweetness to it that prevents it from finishing as dry as i’d like. in the end the flavor is pretty messy. mouthfeel is light, fizzy, with a little alcohol warmth that settles in the back of the throat a few seconds after the sip. starts a little to hot and peppery...................another sample thanks to holdenn and i’m loving this beer. however, their cuvee is the cat’s pajamas.

Seven Fitty. Astringent aroma, funky brett though a little green. Acidic white wine. Pours with a huge, very loose head that fades extremely quickly. Lots of spicyness in the taste, dominant yeast and clove flavors are excellent. Black pepper, flowers, slightly phenolic. When this was cold it was very buttery but that died down. Very drinkable, full mouthfeel. Quite enjoyable, but certainly not the best saison I’ve had. This will probably age very well.

750 ml corked and caged. Pale golden colour, massive rocky beige head. Gorgeous nose, light peach, apricot. lemon, lime, lemongrass and mango. Clovey and appley. Very spicy yeast with green cardamom and rich, sweet baking spices. Body is fairly lean, but could be even more so. Spritzy carbonation, carbonic acidity with hints of lactic and malic tartness as well. Lingering yeastiness on the back. A touch of Saaz hoppiness on the back. Very pleasant and in many ways it reminds me of their triple, which isn’t a bad thing, since I loved that too. Yeasty finish with a flinty/minerally bite on the back.

Seven hundred and fifty milliliter bottle. A very good, but not great saison.

From a 750mL Bottle. Slightly hazy, banana yellow pour with a huge layer of brilliant whipped white head. Great, doughy artisinal bread-like aromas of french herbs are complimented by a creamy banana yeast character. Some pleasant floral clover buds and lemon zest enhance the subtly complex bouquet. Medium bodied, somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Excellently crafted saison. Loads of doughy herbs softly land on the palate with the first sip, creating a clean impression with a smidgen of lemony tartness. Some gentle white pepper spice then seems to emerge, tickling the palate intruigingly. The light pepper spice is then replaced by some well-restrained, yet still phenolic, yeast character before finishing with a fantastic, herbal hops smack. Thanks, Santa!

I forgot to rate this. This was my thanksgiving dinner beer. It paired great with turkey. Poured very light in color with a huge white head.Aroma of citrusy yeastiness with some funkiness. This was a great saison and i wish i didnt have to split it with other people for dinner.

Bottle. Ornage hazy pour with a rocky-somewhat fluffy white head. Aroma of lemon/lemon zest, yeast and a bit of pepper. Flavor held some yeast, light pepper, lemon zest, light malt and a bit of funk. Lively carbonation, somewhat creamy mouthfeel with a dry-creamy finish.

Bottle - corked and caged. Gold bodied with a tall foamy white head. Nose is flowery with sweet malts, candied fruits, light yeast, and pleasant spices. The flavors revolve around fresh cut flowery notes, Belgian yeast, fruity esters, peppery spices, light grassy notes and mild herbs. Very lively carbonation on this emanating from a medium body. Lots of belching during consumption. Finishes with more yeast and flower notes, candyish and ripened fruits, sweet malts, light grassy notes and hints of honey.
