Mar 15, 2009 750ml bottle from MrChopin, thanks Kevin. Shared with DuffManSW. Dark gold pour with a nice white head. Sweet lemony aroma, almost bubblegum. Very smooth, light lemon, no acidity at all, very nice brew, you missed out Mike.

Mar 5, 2009 750ml bottle received in 11/07, with thanks to my departed friend john adam2002 for one of many great bonuses. Pours a clear light golden with a towering foamy white head, excellent retention and lacing. Aroma is fresh citrus fruit, light spicy yeast, and maybe some hay or grass. Flavor has just a touch of sweetness, with more light spice and fresh citrus. I’ve not explored the saison style much at all, but found this to be enjoyable. Thanks Adam, I hope all is well with you!

Feb 19, 2009 750ml corked and caged. Pours slighly hazy golden yellow, with a decent sized off white head. Aromas of citrus fruit, hops, yeast. Flavors also citrus, yeast, and spices with a semi bitter finish. Definitely some sourness kicking around buit not overpowering at all. A very nice offering.

Feb 3, 2009 Bottle @ kp party. Bright gold, slight haze and an off-white head. Dry aroma, nicely hopped. Getting some grapefruit juice and its pith too. Body is sweeter than expected after the aroma. Nice effervescence but finishes a tad thin. Paired well with some cheeses.

Jan 27, 2009 Bottle. Poured golden with a tall frothy white head that had a thin layer lasting after it settled and good lacing. Aromas of spices, barnyard, fruits, grain, and a citrus backing. The flavor has citrus, fruit, yeast, more barnyard, and some wheat. Medium body, noticable carbination, dry, and sweet.

Jan 25, 2009 750 mL bottle courtesy of BeerHawk at the Barrios Nashville tasting. Poured a cloudy yellow/amber color with a 3 finger sparse white head. The aroma was yeast, barnyard, hay and citrus. The flavor was citrus and vanilla, with a good bit of sweetness. The palate was above average, with a medium/full body, soft carbonation and a slightly dry mouthfeel. This really isn’t my kind of beer, but I think it is a great representation of the style.

Jan 25, 2009 Courtesy of Beerhawk at Barrio’s tasting. Pours a hazy amber gold with a white head. Nice full aroma of lemon and hay. Medium bodied with a soft texture, with some fine effervescence Flavor of citrus, pale wheat malt, yeast, and dust with a nice amount of residual sweetness. Just enough bitterness to balance it out, and not overly sour or tart. Nice summer type beer. Not as funky or dry as some other examples,

Jan 24, 2009 Bottle at Barrios’ Impromptu Tasting to pop Smitty’s Surly courtesy of beerhawk. Hazy yellow straw pour with large sustainable white head. Nose of farmhouse, citrus, and yeast. Vanilla, lemon, wild yeast flavor. Spot on for a saison., but I don’t really care for this style.
