| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 3, 2008 (750 ml bottle from 1828 Vintage House) Pours hazy gold/amber with four fingers of fluffy off-white head on each pour. Aroma of citrus, on the sour side, yeast and maybe light bread. Mouthfeel is soft, fairly full and just a touch sticky. Heavy, weepy broken rings of lacing. Flavor is light citrus tang, sort of sour but somewhat balanced by some light caramel sweetness. Fairly bitter, esp. for style, a bit unexpected. A light peppery character emerges as it warms. ABV well-hidden. Overall a nice beer but it started to wear on me a bit after a couple of pours. Perhaps it was the fairly high ABV contrasting with a normally very refreshing style. xmarcnolanx (798), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2008 Courtesy of fishingnet. Pours deep gold with a bit of haze and white head. The aroma is apples nearing an orange sensation along with spice and some candi sugar. The taste is sweet apples moving into lemon tartness along with spices and yeasty notes. It ends just about bone dry with a lingering mixture of apples and lemons and faint hay. ogivlado (3082), Zagreb, Croatia

Muddy golden coloured, medium sized white head. Sweet malty and fruity taste with notes of yeast and alcohol. Pleasant bitterness in the rather fruity finish.
