Poured a voluptuously effervescent golden with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma of light spicy grass and cinnamon with a touch of pine. Flavor is highly complex yet light, with notes of spiciness and herbal hops, yet leaning more towards the sweet side of the balance. Very little alcohol flavor shows through. Body is light and fluffy and evanescent. Overall a very nice saison... refreshing and complex.

bottle given to paul from nick then shared with the crew since we hadn’t already had enough to drink after sunup’s anniversary... pours hazy with a golden orange hue and a rocky off white head. this one has serious amounts of splotchy foamy lacing left behind. sweet aroma... honey, corn, sweet pale malt, clove, black pepper, dry grass and earthy pears. again, the palate is sweet as well.... too sweet for me. or, at least for it to be considered refreshing and crisp. the flavor mimics the aroma but throws in some flowers, peaches, yeast and some skunky hoppiness. it tastes good... there’s just too much sugar. it is medium bodied with soft carbonation though the texture is a bit thick from the residuals. 7/4/7/3/15/3.6

2008 Bottle - Pours clear pale tan (until you get to the bottom) with a larfe, frothy white head...aroma is sticky malty lemon, honey and a bit of clove, dough...flavour is similar, grassy and floral, this one has way too much gravity, it’s a tasty, sweet mess...bready pear, grain, more honey, lingering sugar and grain...interesting brew...

Bottle from Cletus, Thanks John! This bear has some of the nicest head I’ve seen. Like a neverending bubblebath in my glass. Notes of banana, herbs, hay, flowers, dough malt, perfume. Bubblegum fo sho. Old fruit flavor. Neat beer. A lot going on. Interesting. Try it if you get the chance!

The Dan Journal #260. Tasted 6/8/09. 750ml bottle, best before 08-20-13. Hazy with a straw golden hue. Ring of white head. Aromas of citrus and Belgian yeast. Honey and oranges. Great nose! Medium to full bodied with a big and bright citrus effervescence. Bready and mildly spicy. tart and tangy flavors. Moderate pepper spiciness and an accompaning trace raspberry note. Solid!

[2425-20090807] 750mL bottle. Fruity yeast aroma has some cardboard paper hints. Clear, medium orange yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Nice sour yeast flavour has some hints of cardboard straw. Medium body. Can’t figure it out, exactly. Nice but odd.
