Sep 13, 2009 A misleading name, it certainly looks and smells like a lager, in a not so good way. The flavor is a bit better though. Decent flavor, though a hint of butter seems to be coming through. It’s pretty good but maybe not as great as it’s apparent score.

Aug 21, 2009 ~Pours a clear light gold with small white head. Good lacing.
~Has a light wine scent almost like a sour, subtle berry citrus. Very pleasant.
~Light malty flavor with some very night sour citrusy notes.
~Light crisp feel, light pleasant finish.
~This is an excellent light ale! I really like the subtle sour notes.

Aroma: Malty with a decent amount of added hops for balance.
Appearance: Golden in color, Clear with a light head.
Flavor: More of lager feel this was a malty beer with some hops flavor not bad for the hot day.
Palate: Dry Finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: A very nice hot day lawnmower beer.

Jun 7, 2009 Too bad they did not name this "Gold Lager" instead of Gold Ale. This poured a very clear light gold with a medium white head and light lacing. Nose of light malts and some floral hops. Medium body and mouthfeel. Flavor is lightly bitter with some touches of citrus. Dry in the finish. Overall a quite decent lager and easy drinking.

May 17, 2009 Bottle. Poured Pale gold with medium white head, Medium hop aroma with no citrus. Helles like flavour, a little sweet malt, a little bitter hop, a little astringent. Front of the tongue bitterish finish. If they call this an ale, they’re mistaken. This is a Helles lager.

Apr 29, 2009 Sampled at the KLCC microbrew festival. Pours out yellow with a big white head. Smell is heavy on grass and light floral with a taste that is too sweet on the malt and has an okay citrus and floral hop backing. Probably the weakest of the SOB beers I’ve had so far.

Mar 26, 2009 Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Golden color with a decent white head. Light floral aroma. Near medium body with mildly frothy carbonation. It’s rather grainy with quite mild bitter. A decent drinking lager. Finishes lightly bready and lightly bitter. Fairly dry.
