A modest PNW-style barleywine, definitely hop forward in the aggressive American style. Just a bit of nuttiness in there, almost as a nod to English style, and some malt, but basically a hop bomb that’s too hot and sticky to be really distinctive. Well made, but not really to my taste. pilsnerrogge (1794), Finspång, Sweden

Nose is caramel, dark fruits, hops are buried way back. Flavor is caramel, dark fruits, cocoa, tobacco, slight black cherry. Tingly finish but no alcohol is noticable. Very low carbonation. Bitterness builds at the end but is never aggressive. It seems like they were going for something along the lines of Foghorn. They did wonderfully. Enjoyit (1783), Vadum, Denmark

Candy-ish aroma like cherry Jolly Rancher, and English Toffee. A bit of a citrus juice aroma as well. Very rich too. The flavor features chocolate toffee and caramel with cherry and pine in the finish. Very robust and with no sharp edges. Very full body. Perceived carbonation is on the low side. The finish is sweet, but not cloy. Over all I think this is a really great beer. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
