Lots of fruit in the nose, especially strawberry and some pineapple, sweet malt and some dough. Flavor is unlike any barley wine I had tasted before, lots of sweet fruit, slight pine bitterness, some dough. Full body. Very tasty and well done, but defintely not a big hop bomb like most American style barley wines. riversideAK (2779), Shoreline, Washington, USA

Aromas of sweet caramel, toffee, dates, plums, brown sugar, and floral hops. Complex layers of sweetness consisting of ripe dark fruits, caramel, faint roast, apples, brown sugar, and a nice floral finish. The big sweetness is balanced by a nice hop profile and never becomes cloying. Alcohol is noticeable but light for 10%. A creamy, smooth body that drinks very well. Theis (3775), Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Mahogany in color with off white head. Nose is full of sweet malts, dried fruit and hops. Flavor had a good malt backing up some nice piney hops. Caramel sweetness, some citrus overtones and a mellow alcohol warmth. Very drinkable barley wine, but the 10% ABV can catch up on you, not that there is anything wrong with that!
