Jul 2, 2008 Bottle. Rich malt aroma with resin. Dark amber color with a white smear for head. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is sugar, roasted malt, and some hop bitter - not able to detect type though. Finish is sweet, but not overly so. There’s enough bitter to say almost balanced. Very smooth, very tasty.

Apr 20, 2008 Pours a deep copper brown with aSmall off white head. Aroma is moderately sweet grape, caramel, cherry, date and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet caramel, grape, grapefruit, piney and some dough. Full body, sticky texture. Finishes very long and bitter.

Apr 10, 2009 Bottle. Reddish brown color. Lychee, peach, pineapple, red berries and some oily flowery hops in the aroma. Loads of grapefruit, red berries and pineapple in the malty sweet, but also oily earthy hopflaor. Alcoholic. Loads of everything. Overwhelming beer.

Aug 17, 2007 22oz bottle - crystal clear medium ruby red color with smallish light tan head. Aroma is full of lightly toasted caramel, bit of apricot, orangel peel, cream. Flavor is malty, fair amount of herbal hops and light caramel, bit of metallic off notes, with a balanced finish.

Dec 1, 2007 Thin dense head of fine beige bubbles. Sweet caramel malts and lots of hops in the aroma. Some toffee and a bit of alcohol. Dark crimson brown in color. Sweet and malty flavor with a nice alcohol kick. Bit sticky yet the body seems a bit on the thin side. Kind of vegetal in flavor. More caramel and dough. Bit dry with a light bitterness from the alcohol. Finishes sweet and malty with a lingering dry pasty aftertaste. Hides its alcohol pretty well. A decent barleywine.

Oct 31, 2007 Ruby brown, thin off white head. Aroma is very malty, dried fruit, alcohol, and berries. Taste is lightly hoppy, somewhat soapy, dried fruit, alcohol.

Feb 8, 2009 Very pretty mahogany red color with a surprisingly long lasting thin white head. Aroma is a big shot of bitter, pine accented hops and slight caramel. Flavor is another huge shot of hops, again mostly pine. Hops here have a bit of roughness to their bittering quality. The caramel accented malt finish has a faint roasted not that is a touch strange. Definite alcohol heat here. Not bad, could be interesting to lay down and see what happens.
