Bottle from jsquire. Thanks, Jeff! Small tan head that mostly diminished, very little lacing, transparent, very little carbonation, and a reddish hue. Nose was malty, caramel, hoppy, dried fruit, and a hint of clove. The flavor was malt, caramel, hoppy, dried fruits, some bitterness, semi-sweet, some hints of the ABV. Fairly smooth mouthfeel and medium-full bodied. Very quaffable brew, nicely done, worthy of a try and I would drink this again.

Jul 14, 2008 bottle: pours a dark caramel brown with a small off white head. aroma is very caramelly, fresh citrus hops, some fresh apricotr and other pit fruits , slight brown sugar adn a little spice with date adnf touches of figs. flavour is mice slight hops but mostly rich malts some dates and rasins very nice drinking barley wine.

Pours amber with a light beige head in a snifter. Smell is rich caramel, red ale like maltiness and light hops in the nose. Taste is sweet, smooth caramel and nicely balanced with hops. Medium bodied and very easy drinking for a barley wine with no hint of the 10% ABV. Good with nothing particularly standing out, but one that I’d definitely not turn down trying again.

Jul 8, 2008 Draft at Ginger Man. Pours a dark brown with a off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, and a little hops. Nice caramel and heavy malt sweetness. Hides the alcohol very well. Solid Barley.

Jul 4, 2008 Pours a a nice brown color with an off white head. Aroma is of dark frui9ts, malts, and hops. Flavor is very sweet and malty with a small amount of hop finish to balance things out. Hides alcohol very well.

Jul 3, 2008 Draft at Ginger Man. Pours a mahogany brown body with a lighter head. Aroma is sweet malty with lots of hops and booziness. Some caramel and chocolate sweetness but the hop character with the poorly hidden etoh i am not a fan.
