Medium-bodied and nicely balanced. Lots of caramel and roasty qualities throughout. Starts with a good deal of sweet caramel and finishes with a hoppy bitterness. The 9.5% ABV is very well-hidden.

Slight hoppy nose. Flavor is some caramel but really balanced with slight bitter finish. High ABV is completely hidden. $7.25 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma. The aroma is sweet and a hint of hops. Taste is a little sour but not overpowering. It was also sweet and sugary. A full bodied ale. Nose is piney hops, citrus fruits, soft caramel, chewy malts, some spiciness and nuttiness. Taste is strong spicy hops, chewy caramel, sweet malt notes, citrus fruits and oils, light pine and nutty flavors. Body is creamy with a medium overall feel. Ends with more spicy hops, some floral notes, citrus oils, pine, caramel, sweet malts and raw nuts. THere was a decent caramel flavor and maltiness. Not bad at all. Aroma of toasty malt, fruit (?apricot), hops. Flavor is nicely balanced biscuit malt and floral hops.
