| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Bottle. Aroma has notes of oak, cherries, spice, herbs, yeasty cobwebs. Reddish gold sparkling hue with an average sized white foamy head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Flavor is sweet and musky with an average finish. Palate is medium bodied and lively. Smelled great durning the pour but everything went downhill after that. Aroma faded, looks like a wine cooler, tastes like a wine cooler. Kind of a let down. oteyj (761), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Thanks Jason. Slightly cloudy peach pour with a one finger white head that dissipates into a veneer. Aroma is grape and apple juice with lots of light fruit nectar. Clove, herbs, spice and a wood character complement the nectar-sweetness quite well. Flavor is more attenuated than the aroma would suggest- but it certainly works well here. More light fruit nectar and a distinct boozy quality swirl together very well. Over-ripe fruit, and a light biscuity dough round out the discernible flavors. Palate is medium bodied, mildly effervescent, clean, smooth, and crisp. Underrated for sure. craftycarl21 (556), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Murky apricot pour with a smallish head. Aroma holds lots of nectar (peach, apricot), apple juice, a bit of grape juice, some spice notes characteristic of the style, and a bit of woodiness. Flavor is drier than I expected; alcohol is present, but not overdone, and there are notes of wheat, yeast, light fruit, and some sourness and bitterness as well. I don’t find this particularly good, but it’s still drinkable. OK brew. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 2, 2009 Strong and sweet cherry in the nose is quite overpowering. Lightly hazy, oily golden body is topped by a shy white, large bubbled head that recedes rapidly to a thin partial cover. Cherry is also strong in the flavour but here the bitterness and some oak character are also apparent, however I don’t find that it blends together all that well. Some sourness in the aftertaste. Medium body is a bit slick in texture but good effervescence livens it up a bit. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in Oct-09. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Nov 2, 2009 Bottled. Hazy golden color, short head. Aroma is slight hoppy, little cheesy, hint of barnyard, but all overwhelmed by a horrible artificial cherry sweet aroma. Awful combination. Taste is of artificial sweetener, marzipan. Please get rid of the cherries, then it might actually be a reasonable beer.
