| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2008 tried at Another Santee Sampling. this time at toncatcher’s house. Yellow, offwhite head. Dryish with a hint of tart. No cherry aroma, which is surprizing for Southern Tier, which usually produces beers with crazy strong aromas. Not bad. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 21, 2008 Southern Tier Cherry Saison is a pretty clear, sparkling and golden with a bubbly white head that fades to a bubbly white film. The aroma is of cherry and oak. It smells lively and fresh. It is very smooth; medium bodied with a slightly syrupy finish. There is lots of oak in the flavor, with notes of black pepper, orange peel, curacao and leather. It is very complex and well balanced. The aftertaste is all oak-- amost like bourbon. It’s very satisfying. The cherry is very subtle. It’s a very wooden taste. It’s more like cherry furniture. It’s bold and unique, as I’ve come to expect from Southern Tier. I really like this beer. rustychiles (1058), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a light golden to yellow hazy color with a nice white head. Aroma of cherries malts yeasts and spices. Flavor is light cherry funky fruity yeasty esthery saison goodness, some breadyness and some nice hop bittering in the finish. Good brew. Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 20, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Rustychiles. Pours a very murky orange/yellow (really expected red/pink?). No head to speak of. Aroma is muted somewhat, but some pilsener, wheat, and very faint cherries come through. Very nice taste. Bitterness is a little high compared to other saisons, but the taste is very good. The faint cherries and oak add some nice additional complexity. KimJohansen (7136), Copenhagen V, Denmark
