Commercial Description:
Cherry saison is concurrent with the best of summer weather. The days are long and warm, and the spring blossoms have gracefully turned to plump drupes. Much in the same way, our Imperial Cherry Saison undergoes subtle but noticable changes while cruising from kettle to bright tank. Like the sun ripening fruit, a pit stop makes this beer better. Cherry Saison is aged with French Oak staves, imparting overtones of spice and balancing the natural sweetness of the cherries. Cherry Saison is the first in this series to incorporate oak aging. Enjoy it as a dessert beer, or tilt it back while sitting under a shady tree on a warm summer afternoon.

Bomber from Wine Specialist. Brassy gold color with an ok white head. Aromas of cherry, noble hop and perhaps wood. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet pale malt, with cherry and astringent oak. The hop is not enough to block the sweetness, but the wood helps a lot. In the finish there is the impression of candi. Designed for dessert, it meets the goal. An interesting and smooth sipper.

Pours hazy and amber with a thin white head. Smells of cherries, yeast, dough, some spice. Tastes of artificial cherry drink blended with a weak saison.

Aroma is spicy, like coriander, orange peel, clove. Absolutely no cherry. The appearance is like a typical saison, a slightly hazy gold color, with a white head. Flavor is spicy, malty; again no cherries. The finish has a sweet and sour quality, and is slightly astringent. This is essentially a run of the mill saison. The use of cherries in this beer is not at all evident. Overall, a decent beer, not anything special.

Pours a nice gold with a good head. Aroma is nice, with lots of fruit and light hops. The flavor isn’t bad at first, definitely doesn’t have any cherry, which isn’t a bad thing. But the mouth feel is thin, wimpy, and makes this beer a waste of time. I poured out the last bit of it so I could hurry on to a bottle of Gouden Carolus Grand Cru. Pass this one up.

Aroma: Some peppery phenols, but no cherry. Sweet, pils malt aroma. Appearance: Low head retention, cloudly, blonde. Flavor: Peppery phenols again, with no cherry flavor. Some malt sweetness. Palate: Sweet/sour finish, medium body, could use more carbonation for style. Overall Impression: If the bottle didn’t say that cherries were used, I wouldn’t even know they were there. Ok base Saison, needs more hop and ester character and complexity.

(22oz bottle) Smallish white head atop lightly hazed light amber body. some lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, bubblegum, some clove, subdued cherry. Taste is medium sweet, clove, some cherry, light banana, Chardonnay woodiness. Somewhat dry finish with mild alcohol presence. Medium body that’s fairly drinkable for the ABV.

Pours a hazy bright orange color with nice amount of froathy white head. Aroma is a bit doughy, some banana and a tad bit of tart cherry. Flavor is very dry yeasty with lemon and flowers. Dont taste the cherry here. Decent beer but hoped for more.
