Commercial Description:
Cherry saison is concurrent with the best of summer weather. The days are long and warm, and the spring blossoms have gracefully turned to plump drupes. Much in the same way, our Imperial Cherry Saison undergoes subtle but noticable changes while cruising from kettle to bright tank. Like the sun ripening fruit, a pit stop makes this beer better. Cherry Saison is aged with French Oak staves, imparting overtones of spice and balancing the natural sweetness of the cherries. Cherry Saison is the first in this series to incorporate oak aging. Enjoy it as a dessert beer, or tilt it back while sitting under a shady tree on a warm summer afternoon.

22 oz. bottle from Consumer Beverage - Pours a clear light golden color with a large white head. Very light lacing. Aroma is light oak and esters with a touch of spice. Flavor is esters (cherry), light malt, spice, and light oak. Medium body. This is probably my least favorite ST beer. This beer was all over the place. No real direction. Still, worth a try.

Bottle thanks to mreusch, thanks man! Poured a clear golden color with some slight red highlights and a moderate beige head that faded to a layer. Aroma of light cherry, some spice, a hint of yeast, and slight breadiness. Lightly tart entry with some earthy yeastiness and moderate clove spiciness leads into a moderate fruity flavor with some decent oak dryness and spice. Not quite as dry as i’d like, but the oak on the finish adds a nice drying character. Overall, decent, but doesn’t have the traditional Belgian saison characteristics.

Poured from a 22oz bomber and served in a tulip. This beer poured a slightly hazy, bright golden hue with a creamy, off-white head that showed some decent retention. A nice coat of lacing was left behind. The aroma of the beer was made up of lightly toasted grains, bread, orange peel, clove/spices, and a touch of Euro hops. The flavor consisted of strong oak, bread, light honey, orange peel, and some spiciness. There might be some cherry in there somewhere...nope, probably not. No noticable alcohol. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. A bit heavy and missing the refreshing crispness best suited to the style. Just O.K.

Served in a tulip at Kclingers Bar and grill. Poured a cloudy orange with a small head. Cherry flavor is faint and mixed with hops to provide smooth finish. Great Beer.

22oz. bottle served in a Duvel Tulip. Poured a slightly hazy, pale gold with a finger of fine bubbled, white head. Bottle conditioned. Hint of cherry in the aroma, also some spice. Medium bodied, with plenty of spritzy carbonation. Nice spicy flavor with some citrus. A little cherry appeared in the finish. Some alcohol warmth. I didn’t really get a lot of cherry or oak, but it’s still a nice Saison.

Had on draft at Brew’s Cafe in Granville. I am surprised by some of the lower numbers on this beer for I found it deeeelightful. Poured a hazy shade of orange and gold. Thick white head. Sweet aroma of light cherries and bread. Flavor was sweet bread, very very light cherry providing some tartness and black pepper which gave it a nice kick. The alcohol was very well hidden, but I sure felt it! I enjoyed this one a lot. Great summer brew.

Despite poor reviews I wanted to try this, because hell most of what comes in Bombers and has Southern Tier on it ain’t half bad. Bonus bomber from the Eepiest shared with my gf cyn. Pours orange with a 1 finger tan head. Nose is sawdust mixed with cherries. Taste is slightly oaky and dry with some cherry in it. This is interesting and not bad but not excellent either.

Bomber. Clear gold with a dense white head. Nose is mostly biscuit and dust, with a hint of cherry. Good carbonation. Flavor is dusty, biscuity-doughy, a bit of dry pepper and a very small hint of cherry. VERY small. Regardless, a very drinkable saison.
