AGAquino (73), San Juan, Puerto Rico Aug 23, 2009 on tap at Cole’s. Clear dark mahogany with slight head and nice lacing. Nice malty and hoppy aroma. Very nice balanced flavour, more hoppy than malt and fruit, but very balanced. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 11, 2009 [2120-20090502] Tap. Floral yeasty evergreen pinesap hops aroma. Slightly hazy, medium orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Floral grassy hops flavour has lots of pine sap yeast. Medium body is bitter initially and finishes dry. Good.
(@ Coles; Buffalo, NY) tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 10, 2009 Growler shared by blankboy, with him, Harry, Al, and Greg. Pure citus hop aroma - lemony fresh! Orange’ish our, white head. Nice taste, lots of hops, crisp. Well carbonated. Just an overall very enjoyable brew that is in between IPA/APA. blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 26, 2009 Draught at Coles, Buffalo, NY. Pours a hazy golden-orange with an average size diminishing fizzy white head. Lovely aroma of citrusy and spicy hops along with tropical fruit and pale malt. Nice hoppy flavour, lots of spicy and citrus hops, along with a good malt background, some fruit and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied, well carbonated. Wow, this is fantastic stuff -- Mike, you need to get this stuff bottled so I can have some for home -- I love it! garthicus (1216), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 25, 2009 With great thanks to Blankboy. Appearance: Straw yellow, slightly hazy, small white head. Aroma: Hops, pineapple, strawberry, cherry and grass. Flavour: Woah, bitter hop, pineapple, mango, lovely rose hip/floral notes with a nice long sweet finish. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada May 22, 2009 Draught. At Coles, Buffalo NY. Hazy gold with an average fizzy white head. Lush, sharp citrus aroma, light pineapple malt backing, spicy and quite floral - really really appealing. Very perfume/floral/citrus hop flavour, with citrus zest, maybe a hint of coriander, sweet lightly fruity malt, only a bit of alcohol presence (dangerous, that!), mostly just incredibly crisp and balanced, not overly sweet at all. Light body, well carbonated, quick finish to the malt, and a long crisp lingering floral/citrus finish. I can’t fault this - I would make this a staple if it were on tap near me. Which it isn’t of course. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 8, 2009 2009-05-02. Golden orange body with a mdoest off-white head. (3+) Aroma is hoppy with grassy hops and muted pale malt underneath. Flavour is quite hoppy with lots of grassy hops and very light resin touches. Touch of alcohol and bitterness in the finish. Very hop dominant it has only minimal pale malt to support it, but the hop bitterness lingers pleasantly. (7+) Average plus palate has above average carbonation. Nice. It is a bit one dimensional but fortunately it is a pleasant hoppy dimension. On tap at Coles, Buffalo
Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 25, 2009 On-tap at Cole’s. Presented to me as a kind of wheat IPA. The wheat bulks up the body and aids the lace. Golden yellow body, aromatic hops. Tongue tingling carbonation.. Decent bitterness, closer to what an American Pale is today in that regard.
