RoscoeJackson (10), Michigan, USA Nov 9, 2009 butterscotch. TOO sweet. not quite as sweet as the Choklat, but still, overwhelming. if they toned it down a bit they would have a decent beer here. TampaBrew (746), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 8, 2009 Pours a deep brown. Nose is ridiculous! Butterscotch bomb! Loads of sweet malt, cocoa, butterscotch, toffee, caramel. Flavor is more mild, but still insanely sweet. A good dessert stout. I could not imagine drinking this whole bomber though. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Nov 7, 2009 22. Pours an opaque black with a dense, creamy, sandy-colored head. Plenty of stringy, sheeting lacing coming down the sides of the glass. Outrageously sweet and creamy, chocolate and vanilla nose. Serious candy bar overload. Drinkable, but just barely. Without a doubt smells like you are trapped in a Willy Wonka outtake. Creamy medium body, soft woolly carb. Chocolate, vanilla, caramel, nougat, the taste that satisfies awaits you...provided you’re willing to brush and floss. Intensely sweet stuff. Miksu (2187), Jyväskylä, Finland Nov 7, 2009 0.65 l bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Black color. Strong vanilla icecream aroma which can be detected from meters away. Sweet very strong vanilla flavor with coffeish roast, caramel and fudge. Hint of alcohol sharpness. Might be good dessert in small does, but the vanilla is really pungent and overpowering. lukeherinckx (5), Washington, USA does not count Nov 6, 2009 this is a dessert in a bottle. rich taste as one could guess by the aroma. best to be enjoyed with a friend. fcjack1 (6), Washington, USA does not count Nov 5, 2009 Bottle from 99 Bottles. Pours dark brown. Not much head. Smells almost as sweet as it tastes. Good beer in small doses. BillKismet (1899), Seattle, Washington, USA Nov 5, 2009 Deep black body supports an appealing chocolate head. Distinctive Creme Brulee aroma, saturated with diacetyl/butterscotch and chocolate caramel. Creme Brulee and roast barley are immediately recognizable on the palate, but come off too sweet. Some dusty coffee grounds on the finish along with a wave of charcoal dust and caramel. A chocolate caramel smoke vein underpins the Creme Brulee experience. Sturdy stout, but saccarine and, consequently, ultimately unenjoyable. Chipper (179), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 5, 2009 Nearly black with a thin tan head. Very sweet aroma with caramel, chocolate, and a little spice. Flavor is huge with creme brulee flavor. This is a dessert beer bar none. The Alcatraz is big too.
