| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Bomber. Pours thick and dark brownish black with no head. Aroma is thick with caramel, burnt sugar, heavy cream, vanilla, and butterscotch. Smells just like dessert. Very thick and oily mouthfeel, sweet at first with vanilla and sugar highlights that fade to a slightly bitter burnt sugar/coffee-ish flavor. Alcohol pretty well masked. Definitely a sweet beer, but quite good if that’s what you’re in the mood for. Recommend splitting it with a buddy. KawaBomber (193), New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 11, 2009 22oz Bottle (Courtesy of SwoopJones): Pours dark brown with a smallish light brown head. Aroma is heavy butterscotch & vanilla. Butterscotch and vanilla are also the obvious flavors. Dig a little deeper and you find roasted malts, candied sugar, chocolate and a hint of hops. Very sticky sweet with lactose arriving at the party as this one warms. Man, this beer is super sweet, but very enjoyable. I’d like to see it in 12oz 4 Packs, 22oz is just too much of a good thing. harrisoni (6802), Ashford, Kent, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Bottle at Chris o New Year tasting 08/09. Thanks to Mes and Sim for bringing it. Very deep brown, thin beige head. Does smell of creme brulee/creme caramel. It’s a bit over the top in the mouth, yes it’s creeme caramel, but it’s more like a liquer than a beer. Bit too much for me. But nice. Could imagine drinking this out of a shoe, much the same as Baileys. I’m Old Gregg cbkschubert (1983), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2009 22 oz. bottle - Pours a clear brown color with a 3/4 finger thick light tan head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is big time butterscotch ( not diacetyl). Flavor is butterscotch, vanilla, light chocolate, and lightly roasted malt. Palate is creamy smooth and slightly dry. Medium body. I like this one and so does the wife. Damico (174), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 4, 2009 This is a delicious, potent stout! You can taste the sweetness of the creme brulee with the whopping 10% ABV coming in to complement it on your palate. This is perfect to start off a cold night of drinking, and then move onto some lighter brews. Beerlando (2335), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Bomber. Pours a dark, mahogany colored body. A frothy brown head settles slowly to a thin film, a sudsy wash of lace mostly rejoining the body. The aroma is ultra sweet, vanilla cake icing coming to mind immediately. Deeper inhalation reveals notes of burnt sugar, caramel, lactose, and chocolate. Flavors continue the dessert-like experience, massively sweet and sugary, with very little roasty character. Vanilla and caramel dominate, with an overall feel of caramel custard with a slight chocolate infusion. Surprisingly smooth and drinkable, the beer is sweet but not overly cloying. If anything, the body is a little on the light side for such a huge, sugary beer. Perplexing as this brew is, I simultaneously love it and hate it. I would maybe drink this every 6 months or so, but in the right situation, a small glass is divine. This beer would be a perfect candidate for a nip bottle. bu11zeye (5505), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2009 This might be the hardest beer to rate that I’ve sampled. Pours a dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma was fantastic! Butterscotch, vanilla, and brown sugar smells. In a blind smell-test, beer might be the last guess I would make. Flavor was exactly like liquid creme brulee, maybe a bit too much. In a 4 oz serving, this might rate around a 4.5. In a 12 oz serving, the intense flavor might bring my rating down to about a 3 due to the immense sweetness. So I’ll rate in the middle at 3.8. Perfect as a dessert beer, but only tolerable in small quantities.
