Dark white head. Wow, smells like vanilla icing, huge, huge vanilla, awsome smell. Big sweet vanila flavor as well, I like it. Very wild beer. Ughsmash (4091), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 8, 2008 Thanks to Blake for bringing this over! Poured clear, deeper brown with a short-lived cap of tan head. The aroma was just decadent.. candied caramel, vanilla, and coffee all over with lesser notes of chocolate.. left me with a vanilla caramel cream candy impression. The flavor was sweet again, and unfortunately not as well composed as the aroma.. vanilla and caramel at the core, both amplified by alcohol warmth.. sweet and cloying at the finish, picking up some coffee.. tasty initially, but very hard to drink more than a few ounces of. Too sweet and rich on the palate from a beer perspective.. toning this down would provide a wonderful drink. badlizard (2389), Berkeley, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Bottle from VA. Black with a fizzy white head. Very sweet chocolate and SUGAR aroma. It really tastes like a chocolate creme brulee with big vanilla notes and a roasty finish. Big points for originality. Dough77 (779), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Holy smokes the aroma kicked this thing off big time. Just sweet burnt sugar and caramel everywhere. Big froathy head with deep body. Flavor is the exact same. Friggin amazing but all the same thing. Drink it as a special 1 time thing, because you dont want a lot of it. But that once in awhile bottle is seriously tremendous. MartinT (5075), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2008 My Bottom Line:
The combination of lactose and vanilla sweetness explodes into coconut icing and marshmallows in this impressively perfumy tropical liqueur replacement of an Imperial Stout.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the blackness.
-This is as drinkable as Bailey’s Irish Cream. Thick, super-sweet and boldly flavorful. If you are not a fan of these flavors, you might gag after two or three sips.
-There is some roasted malt and hop bitterness in the end, which team up to cut away some of the dictatorial sweetness.
-This is as aromatic as pure vanilla extract. If you set your glass a few feet away from you, you can still enjoy the beer’s aroma.
-Toffee is also found within this heaviest of desserts.
-Although I would never for the life of me attempt to drink a full glass of this (let alone an entire bomber!), I have to say this novelty drink is beautifully crafted and clean throughout. A little more restraint would do it a world of good though, imho.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Objectively speaking:
A massive, vanilla and coffee liqueur-like dessert brew that escapes beer realm comparability.
I like:
It assumes itself. Aromatic and perfumey to the point that you’d recognize it among any 30 different imperial stouts. Obviously doing just what it aims to do, but you really must be in the mood for non-beery nonsense. Relatively complex, cakey, full-flavoured.
I dislike:
Sticky sweet: drinking more than a few announces would become challenging. Kinda dissimulated alcohol in the nose, but it jumps back at you in mouth. kegbear (273), Orange, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Bottle. Thanks to KingpinIPA for this one. Dark black with a nice tan head. Smells and tastes like a butter rum Lifesaver. Some alcohol warmth in the finish. Very sweet. Different. Glad to have tried it. durhambeer (1233), Durham, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Bottle; thanks for sharing, Todd. This smells lovely. Actually almost exactly like melted butterscotch chips and vanilla. Some caramel and a little burnt sugar, but more butterscotch than anything. Big sweet smell. Tastes like bitter burnt sugar. Really foul, to be honest, and much too sweet. I really didn’t like this at all.
