[2002-20090219] 650mL bottle. Pineapple spicy yeast aroma with mild oak vanilla notes. Clear, amber orange body with a quick bubbly white head. Heavy malty fruit yeast flavour with very mild oak vanilla. Medium-full body is fairly bitter. Interesting.

Bomber shared by Enniskillen. Nose is vanilla, bubblegum, light fruitiness, and sweetness. Clear orange with a small off white head. Flavor is oaky vanilla with pretty heavy alcohol, and coconut macaroon cookies. Hot but enjoyable.

Amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is alcohol, vanilla, coconut, barleywine character maltiness in the background. Taste is a light oakiness, alcohol, sugar cookies. Lacks depth for a beer this big but still is drinkable.

Bottle. Brown color, no head. I am not sure how old this beer actually is, but I could definitely detect some old hops that should be present, but werent. Sugars and alcohol are heavy in the smell of it, and stale hops. Taste was similar, with a very powerful taste, mostly alcohol. A little bit of bourbon is in it too. This beer was just ok, not really good and probably not near as good as it once was when it was fresh.

Basically no head at all from a vigorous pour and no little bubbles of carbonation. Seems a bit strange. Sweet malty and vegetal aroma. Buttered biscuits and butterscotch. Bright copper orange in color. Sweet malty and loaded with butterscotch. Very velvety in the mouth, almost oily. Thick palate with lots of honey and sugary sweetness. Not really sure what they were trying to go for here. Very little oakyness and no sourness at all. Very strange. If this is what they were aiming for then I would not recommebd this brew to anyone. A sweet buttery alcoholic mess. And for $15, a total rip-off!

Pours to a hazy orange body with a very thin white head. The aroma is oaked orange peel. Bananas and coconut. The palate is rich and coating. Nice texture that isn’t boozy on the throat. The flavor is oranges and light bananas. Oaken fruit and yeasts.

Bottle. Pours clear copper with a small, fizzy, off-white head, mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (straw, grain, bread), average hop (perfume, flowers), average yeast (dough) with notes of vanilla, alcohol, coconut, and honey. Full bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and a spicy-bitter finish. Long duration, heavy sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Had a bottle and shared it with friends this past weekend. Hazy copper brown witha nice head and lacing. A really complex beers with layers of flavor, first the sweet malt, then roasted and still more subtile medicinal notes. The hint of whisket comes through and a fairly clean finish.
