Pours a clear light amber with a white head. Very sweet with aromas of caramel and some spices. Also rather dry. Loads of residual sugars. Strong aoky aromas, but in a kind of artificial way. Maybe because it was overly oaked(?). Soft carbonation. Sticky mouthfeel. Dry and sweet finish.

Bottle thanks to Ilovedarkbeer. Pours a cloudy amber with white head. Aroma of sweet malt and honey. Flavor is malty, hoppy, sweet, honey, and wood. Mouthfeel has heavy body. Overall, not bad, it’s a sipper.

Bomber courtesy of Gillard. Pours clear copper with gold edges and nearly no head. The smooth rounded aroma has notes of musty medium dark fruit, malts sweetness, some grainy malts and a bit of earthy hay. The taste feels syrupy to start with solid sugar malt sweetness, bright oak notes, fruity esters and a few tough to discern spices. It seems a bit jumbled and disjointed. Maybe a bit more age will bring it together.

Sampled during Heritage beer tasting event in Maplewood, MN. Pours a clear light amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a fine film and thin white ring. Aroma of some caramel malt, mixed hard fruits, and some flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of caramel malt, some light raisin, vanilla and some alcohol. Finish has a mild alcohol bite that over powers any bitterness or caramel flavors.

22 oz bottle-pours a thin white head and copper color. Aroma is grain/medium malt, spice hops (Hallertau). Taste is sweet grain/medium malt, raw/spice hops (Hallertau) that clashes. Thanks jwc215 for sharing this with me.
