Dec 30, 2008 Still and ruddy orange with no head and small beads of lacing. Aromas are light, but concentrate on vanilla and coconut. Slick mouthfeel, a slightly sharp dancing carbonation, a very dry finish preceded only by a toast accent of malts. Vanilla throughout, nutty, pretty flavors.

Dec 30, 2008 22 oz. bottle via trade with tytoanderso - Pours a hazy amber color with a one finger thick of white. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is biscuit and toasted malt esters, a touch of vanilla and a tad bit of non-hop florals. It’s quite nice. The flavor is esters, spice, lightly sweetened toasted malt, and light oak. Again, very nice. The finish is very soft and smooth, but becomes almost cloying as the beer warms. The esters and oak really linger on the palate. The 11% alcohol is fairly well hidden. Medium body. Man, this is a really nice beer. Thanks Tyler.

Dec 29, 2008 Thanks to JCB for sharing this one! Bright copper pour and white head. Decent drippy lace and caramel aroma. Oak flavor definitely underwhelming. Flavor dominated mostly by fruit and spicy hops. Another beer from ST that just didnt live up to the hype. Just because you put the bottle in a box doesnt make it great!

Dec 28, 2008 Pours a transparent copper orange with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toffee and caramel with some melon and orange fruity notes with some light tartness. Body starts with good fullness and sweet butterscotch orange notes with a subtle tart balance before a drier finish. Hides its alcohol pretty well, but does not have much oaky character.

Dec 28, 2008 22oz bottle from Swolf3 and NYbeer, thanks to the two Stevens. Copper pour with very little head. Swett sugary aroma. Sweet woody flavor, almost like a scotch maybe, very interesting. Not bad overall.

Dec 27, 2008 Bottle. Beautiful light copper color. Filtered. Small white head. Nose is a bit citrusy, peppery, sharp, spicy and sweet Taste sweet yet tart and tangy. Slight malt background. Alcohol is evident but not over the top. Palate is thick and fluffy. Sippable well done beer. Not one I would seek out considering the price though.

Dec 27, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with not much head. Creamy and malty aroma with some hop. Flavor is Belgian with the yeast character, but has a nice sweet vanilla finish. Not bad, but a bit overhyped. Still, I am highly anticipating the release of Series 2.
