Bottle at the legend of chriso’s pre GBBF09 tasting. Alround rating: Fairly big malty beast of a barley wine, some raisin like fruityness, some brown sugar. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Pours an orange golden body with a white head. Woody with a dried spicy character. Chewy with a modest etoh warming. A bit unbalanced with a candy sweetness. Decent.

bottle - Pours light, hazy amber with a very thin head. It smells of oak, malt, and some dark fruit. The toast of sweet, strong, and woody with a touch of dark fruit. It’s full bodied with some hops and alcohol in the finish. Interesting, good, but not fantastic.

Orange in color with very little head. Aroma is like tangerines with deep, almost meaty notes. Tangerine continues into the taste without being particularly citrusy. Very little oak beyond a slight initial impression of tannin and vanilla. $12/750
