| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2009 Sampled at the Nashville BA Tasting. Pours amber orange with a wisp of a head, and fine effervescent carbonation. Aroma of life savers, vanilla, and caramel. Flavor of wort and butterscotch countered by a moderate bitterness. Finish is semi dry and oaky with some lingering white pepper. Not bad, but not worth the price. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

First pour is relatively clear with an amber hue. Trace head. Sweet aromas with hints of caramel. On the fuller side of medium bodied. Moderate alcohol note. Slight vanilla oaky note. Touch of homey. Slight tingling effervescence. Good not great. Maybe time in the bottle will help. MoDog (923), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 18, 2009 22oz bomber served in a snifter. Clear amber pour with a thick head of bubbly beige foam. Decent retention and some slick lacing. The aroma contained super sweet caramel, vanilla, and some fruity yeast esters. The flavor was sweet and boozy. A ton of caramel and vanilla with some fairly hot alcohol. Full-bodied and tongue coating. Mild carbonation. Not sure what they were going for here, but what they got was a big, sugary, boring beer. "Cuvée" led me to believe this was Belgian-inspired. Nope. Drinkable, but really lacking in depth and complexity. gracefullypunk (316), Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 17, 2009 orange peach color with a 1/2 inch off white head. Spicy hops, orange, malt and oak aromas. A little thick on the palate--alcohol is definitely evident. Soft, creamy flavor, a little bit of smoked whiskey, a bit of malt, biscuity hops, finishes with a bit of a bitter citrus that quickly moves to floral. Something about this one is just indescribable. jodah52 (56), Michigan, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jun 9, 2009 Pours coppery orange from bottle, large white head that quickly disappears. Aroma is interesting - sweetness and fruit with a hint of peat, like a good scotch whiskey. Aroma and flavor are remniscent of a Unibroue beer; fairly sweet, good malt and caramel characters with fruit and spice and a hint of nuts on the finish. Highly recommended. fonefan (11630), VestJylland, Denmark
