22 oz. bottle. A slightly hazy ruby pour with a smallish khaki head. A RICH oaky aroma with loads of vanilla, caramel, honey, and almonds. Super-smooth medium body. Kinda creamy. Just a touch syrupy here and there. RICH caramel, vanilla, honey, and oak are upfront taste-wise. Finishes with a toasty, oaky woodsiness. Packed with sweet candied sugar and LOADS of alcohol warmth throughout.

Bottle, Goodbar Beer Club and also at Cole’s. Brown/amber, thin head. Nose is dark fruits, alcohol, bubblegum. Flavor is dark malt, yeasts, alcohol, a bit of woody sourness. A bit of twang. Brown sugar & yeasty finish.

Raisins, caramel, hints of chocolate. Great after-dinner beer. Hides the ABV very well. Extremely rich.

Nose of toffee, toast, caramel, vanilla, and wood. Pours an amber tone with a off white head that didn’t stick around for too long. Sweetish malt flavors of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, and fresh woody notes. Lightly earthy in the finish. Not as boozy as most of their stuff.

bottle poured a red highlighted amber with a frothy off white head. aroma has dark rich fruit, vanilla, oak, and toffee sweetness. fairly thick mouth feel with low carbonation. flavor hits with lots of sweetness, rich malt, dark fruit, oak, and heavy caramelized vanilla. there is some bitterness that is a little funny here and the sweetness is at the high end.

Had this one on tap at the local brewing company pub. Poured a dark amber with a think dense frothy of white head. Aromas of oak, whiskey, hops, and caramel. The flavor is a tad on the alcoholic side with flavors of caramel, whiskey, oak, and undertones of vanilla. Good lacing, bitter and sweet. The oak came through a little to much for me here but perhaps the fact is was on tap made the difference.

Liked this one better thamn Cuvee#1. Pours deep ruby with 1-finger off-khaki head. Nose is malt, Werther’s candy, funky yeasty notes, cheddar cheese, hops, and sweaty female feet. Tastes caramel malty, oaky, with some cognacy, mild creamy notes. Very complex, with unique flavor medleys one seldom experiences, and well hidden alcohol.
