| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 15, 2009 Blood orange color with a diminishing khaki colored head. Stewed fruit aromas, with date, plumes and plums coming to mind. HInts of tropical fruit as well. There is a mild burn on the nose, but does not really distract. If you like a strong fruity smelling brew this one should suit you fine. Actually the malt seems to come out a bit as it rests, with caramel and toasted malt scents. Full feel, with a very light carbonation that floats it across the palate. Caramel in the front. Middle has some strong herbal characteristics. Oak in the finish completely takes over and actually becomes a bit distracting. Woody in the finish. The overpowering components take away from a few of the parts that unless you look for them are lost. Definitely a strong ale. dmac (1449), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2009 650 ml bottle from EZ Liquors. Pours a deep lear red body with a small quikly fading white head. Aroma is complex with notes of wood, butter, coconut, almonds, alcohol, dried dark fruits. Palate is the weakest point of the beer with lots of carbonation for such a full bodied syrupy beer. Flavor is similar to the aroma but the flavors are tuned down a tad. Really good compared to Series 1 and I might have to grab another bottle to age for a few years to see what will happen to this one. mar (1842), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Bomber. Clear, ruby-tinged copper with a nice lasting little ring of cream. Aroma is dark fruit, merlot, caramel. Flavors of caramel, light chocolate, dates and dry sherry, with a nice touch of oak, nuts and banana on the tail end. Medium body is smooth and dried well by the oak and alcohol. Not as hot as the Cuvee #1 and a much smoother, well-blended flavor as well. Arayaga2 (966), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Thanks Dave. The beer pours to a vibrant mahogany body with glowing yellow highlights. The aroma is light sweet barley and subtle hops and oak. Way more blended than Cuvée Series 1. The flavor is a sweet barley and light oak with sweet brandy/bourbon. The palate is sweet and medium-full bodied. Almost creamy. curly (598), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
