First of all, the wax on this one is a pain in the ass. This is loaded with cocain white head. The aroma is all hops with pine and citrus coming through. Taste is funky, almost too much going on. It’s safe to say this is as close to heartburn in a bottle as you can get. Good, but not great. Southern tier is becoming a hit or miss brewery for me.

Getting rid of whatever is covering the bottle is a pain and makes you think it’s a cheap beer because they have to have a gimmick. The aroma is hops, citrus a little lemon, pine and maybe a touch of orange. The head is big, creamy, white with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. The color is golden orange and clear. The initial flavor is back of the tongue fuzzy feel with a little taste of citrus - grapefruit/lemon then the bitterness sets in with a nice feel on the tongue. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long.

Bottle, from Capone’s (Norristown, PA). Pours murky amber, with a frothy tan head. Intense grapefruity hops dominate the aroma, with some malt hiding somewhere in the background. Flavor is nearly all citric hops, with just enough malt to keep the hops from going out of control. Long, bitter finish. It’s not my favorite, but it accomplishes the brewer/blender’s goals.

After spending five minutes cutting off the top I finally got this one open. Very slightly hazy orange/amber with a 2 inch white head that lasts for some time leaving some nice lacing. Smell is sweet candied citrus fruits(grapefruit, orange). Much sweeter and maltier smelling than expected. Taste is huge sweet citrus fruits, slight pine and a moderate caramel maltiness and floral perfuminess. Slightly syrupy and heavy with alcohol becoming more and more present. A good IIPA.

Bottle courtesy of Sparky27...THANKS Eric!!! Light golden orange body with a solid white head that leaves a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is primarily nectarine, tangerine, and lemon rind with hints of douglas fir. Flavor is sweeter than expected, although you can definitely taste the sharp hops and alcohol bite. A great beer...wish it was readily available in AZ!!!

Clear amber with a frothy tan head that lingers. Big aromas of ganja bud, piney hops. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Nice flavors of caramel with juicy piney hops meshing nicely. Has a mildly bitter boozy taste to finish. Really enjoyed this one.
