| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Orangey fruitiness and chewy wheat lead to leafy hop resins which are ably balanced by honeyed malt sweetness. This is a successful blend from Southern Tier, but not one I would necessarily take over the Hoppe or the UnEarthly from which it comes.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the hazy amber.
-The hop fruitiness pretty much spans the entire citrus fruit range, without focusing on the lemony aspect too much.
-Alcohol is well concealed, making this dangerously drinkable for its gargantuan size.
-Hop bitterness is important, but never outshines the flavor profile.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Bottle. Clear thick orange color with very nice lacing type head. Malty citrus aroma. Flavor was basicly the same with oranges and apricots dominating the flavors. Syrupy and slick on the palate. NJBeerman013 (778), Trenton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Bottle. First off, although aesthetically pleasing, I never want to work that hard to open a beer again. The wax is hard as a rock. That being said, This was a solid IPA, however, nothing over the top to note. It poured a fairly clear, dark amber in color with a foamy head. The hop aroma is over the top, as it should be with a beer of this style. The hops shined through in the flavor as well creating quite the bitter taste experience, which for me is quite alright. The huge hop is balanced slightly with a malty finish, which together mask the big alcohol quite well. Jonte (823), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Maybe I just had this at the wrong time, but I wasn’t blown away. The pour was deep gold with smallish head and no lacing. The aroma was light citrus. The flavor was mild citrus with moderate bitterness. Some toasty malt was present. This just didn’t wow me at all. I like both of the beers that made this up much better than the blend. chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Earthy pine, floral. super hopped, hides the 10.5%, peppery, multi-citrus notes. the brittle wax top may preserve but it annoying as hell to open. Nice priced for such a gem. FoolishMortal (965), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2008 22oz bottle. Deep golden orange color with a large creamy off white head. Floral, perfumey hop aromatics, some pinesol. Earthy, floral hop flavors, heavy caramel and appley malt component. Piney character manifests, some alcohol heat. Thick, somewhat resinous finish, large malt presence. Mouthfeel is heavy, rather chewy. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 8, 2008 I am glad I finally picked this up. I thought it was going to be good but this exceeded my expectations. Huge aroma, a lot of straight orange citrus. Flavor was big citrus again, more orange than anything, great balancing malt that just seemed to put all the beautiful hops on display. This is great stuff, third place behind dreadnaught and hopslam.
