The pour was deep gold with smallish head and no lacing. The aroma was light citrus. The flavor was mild citrus with moderate bitterness. Some toasty malt was present. This just didn’t wow me at all. I like both of the beers that made this up much better than the blend. chimpscampee (566), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Earthy pine, floral. super hopped, hides the 10.5%, peppery, multi-citrus notes. the brittle wax top may preserve but it annoying as hell to open. Nice priced for such a gem. FoolishMortal (966), San Diego, California, USA

Floral, perfumey hop aromatics, some pinesol. Earthy, floral hop flavors, heavy caramel and appley malt component. Piney character manifests, some alcohol heat. Thick, somewhat resinous finish, large malt presence. Mouthfeel is heavy, rather chewy. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 8, 2008 I am glad I finally picked this up. I thought it was going to be good but this exceeded my expectations. Huge aroma, a lot of straight orange citrus. Flavor was big citrus again, more orange than anything, great balancing malt that just seemed to put all the beautiful hops on display. This is great stuff, third place behind dreadnaught and hopslam. kramer (2530), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2008 22 oz bottle, via crizay. Pours a clear gold body with a foamy off-white head that left tons of thick lace. The nose is floral hops with a bit of pine, lots of toasted and caramel malt, and a touch of alcohol. Pretty hoppy without too much bitterness, heavy malt, but not sticky or cloying. Really well balanced. Minimal alcohol for being 10%. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a sturdy thick texture and moderate fizzy carbonation. Some hefty alcohol warmth. Overall, this was one of the better ones from Southern Tier. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 7, 2008 22 oz bottle. Wax top! Pours an orange/yellow color with a white head. This beer is the best of both the Hoppe and the UnEarthly - a fantastic balance that leaves my mouth waning more. Aromas are pine, citrus, floral hops. Flavor is Pine, citrus, hops, and a nice hop finish. Alcohol is hidden so well I would have not guessed that it was that high in alcohol content. highibus (445), Mill Creek, Washington, USA
