Slightly hazy golden-amber with a good sized white head. Delicious aroma of citrus and pineapple, and a hint of toffee in the background. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Flavour has lots of orange and grapefruit, with hints of vanilla (kinda reminds me of a creamsicle, actually), and some resiny notes in the finish. Alcohol comes through a bit as it warms, but not as much as you might expect from a 10.5%er. Another winner, ST! bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a decent sized white head. Aroma is all hops. Very nice flavor, not too sweet, just enough bitterness to balance it well, alcohol is hidden well. Excellent. Sparky27 (1641), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Bomber as a gift from GMCC2181 – thanks again Gabe! Pours a nice dark golden color with a decent white head and nice lacing. Nose is floral and citrus hops. Palate is a lot less hoppy than I expected. Has a mellow grapefruit flavor with a touch of malt. Doesn’t have the bitter aftertaste of a typical IIPA. It’s a really smooth and drinkable IIPA, but at 10.5 ABV that’s a dangerous combo. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Beautiful and hard to remove gold wax on the bottle... Bottle pours a hazy peach color with a smallish white head that laces well. The aroma is fresh hops and cookies to fresh bread. The flavor is very well rounded with the hops and the malt backbone sweetness dancing in perfect synchronization. The palate is real rich and lively. This is one fine IIPA. One of the better IIPA’s I’ve had in some time. This rivals Hops Slam. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA

Pours a somewhat clear, yellow/orange color with a crisp white head that leaves only traces of some lace. Smells very grassy and earthy hoppy. Tastes grassy and citrusy hoppy. Big bright citrus flavors right up front almost bursting on your palate and then the hops fade to a grassy and resiny mix towards the finish. Full somewhat syrupy body, with good but semi-subdued carbonation. Nice, but I’d take an UnEarthly anyday. thooper41 (393), Oregon, USA
