Golden colored brew. Hoppy aroma. Floral hoppy, mild, bitter, nice, but not outstanding.

Another special IPA from Southern Tier. Not as overwhelmingly good as their "normal" IIPA, but damn good still. Very tasty, great nose, pale color, and long finish make this one to enjoy. 10.5% well used, not hidden.

Poured hazy yellow/orange with a stark white head. Huge hop aroma from the unearthly and nice sweet malt backbone from the hoppe. Tasted exactly like that, nice thick hops at the beginning balanced nicely with the sweetness of the hoppe, though could have been more bitter. Excellent combination!

Bottle thanks to Gabe, thanks! Pour is dirty golden color with thin white head. Aroma is malty, grapefruit, pineapple, pepper, vanilla, and some sweetness. Flavor is malty and peppery up front with lingering bitterness and hops in the finish. Fair amount of sweetness with hop more of a background.

220z bomber sent in trade with j12601. Thanks Jay! I love me some good Double IPA’s. Pours a hazy deep golden color with a frothy vanilla head. Medium carbonation. Lovely nose that is both sweet and bitter. Nose has sweet elements of candy apple, with grapefruit and orange citrus. Strong Amarillo hops comes through in the aroma. Robust flavor of buttery sweet malt, well-balanced against a firm bitterness. Crisp peppery Cascade hop character lasts on the finish, with notes of orange peel and pear. Alcohol is noticeable. Very nice.

From bomber. Sweet malty nose, with some caramel and pilsner malt, light grainy character. Huge hoppy nose, fruity with orange, apricot, and pear. Light cotton candy. Clear golden amber with huge frothy-foamy off-white lacing, lasting head. Medium heavy body, not quite chewy but not watery, either. Medium to light carbonation. Has a really nice balance between sugary malt and mild bitter hoppy character. For such a high alcohol beer, it’s really smooth. Hoppy and tasty without being aggressively bitter. Tasty throughout, with smooth finish and sweet after. Not even any warming or harsh notes. This is a nice double IPA.
