Slightly hazy, copper-hued beer. A thin white frothy head around the sides of the snifter. Very citrusy aroma. Lots of bitter hops, as expected, and quite powerful. The alcohol is high, but its pretty well-hidden. It could really sneak up on you. Heavy on the spices and orange in the flavor.

Dec 28, 2009 Cloudy golden orange with lacing white head. Solid hoppy and spiced aroma. Medium body with sweet caramel, fruit and a light yeasty note. Dry, bitter and solid hoppy finish.

Dec 20, 2009 22oz bottle. An orange body with a small head. A strong candy nose with a nice caramel aroma. A nice malt doughy coating is left in your mouth with a earthy finish. A very heavy brew with the ABV showing up at the end. Very flavorful and a well crafted, but the huge flavors makes it difficult to finish a 22oz. by oneself.

Dec 19, 2009 Bottle: Orangish in color, hues of straw and gold, large frothy white head, clingy lacing, light carbonation. Quite aromatic on the nose, tea leaves, citrus rind, a touch of hops. Reminds me of a very robust Pale Ale.
Comes across as just that, a Pale Ale that has the tea leaves, citrus rind, and a hop bitterness that is very subtle. This one is more on flavor than bitterness. Moderate to full body and mouthfeel. Very
flavorful without being overly bitter. Lingering tea leaves and citrus rind. This was a very welcomed surprise. However, as an IIPA it doesn’t have enough malt thickness and sweetness to balance out the subtle
bitterness. Robust Pale Ale yes, Imperial IPA... not so much. Thanks to Odeed for the freebie!

Dec 8, 2009 22 oz bottle from beerbaron420. Orange amber and off white head. Crystal clear. Sweet IPA and booze on the nose. Apple and pear cider. Patient lace and sticky glass. Taste is lightly sweet with lageresque crisp, clean bitterness initially. Fruitiness comes shortly thereafter, with a different, more IPA bitterness. It lingers, stickying up the back of my tongue and throat. Nicely well rounded and not overpowering in any aspect. Gooey throat monster making me talk like Froggy.

Dec 7, 2009 bottle courtesy of bonk0076, thanks man! pours a crispy yet hazed golden color with a thick off white head. as a mix betyween the 2 beers, its very successful. a lot of the sweet malt notes from the unearthly are much less present in the nose and the palate. there are lots of hops, nice and bitter! the alcohol is very well hidden, much more than unearthly, there is no heat at all, could be 6.5% for all i know. great brew, they never fail!

Dec 3, 2009 BIG BEER!!! Hunka, hunka hoppy beer. Poured with a nice sized, fine foam, off white head and good lace. Color is a very slightly hazy amber. Aroma is massively grapefruit hop and a bit of malt to stand up to it. Flavor is pretty much more of the same. Masterfully done but overmuch grapefruit for my taste. Great body and carbonation. Finish follows the trend. Don’t really pick up on the alcohol until the very bitter end (sorry). Proly too strong for a session.

Nov 22, 2009 Bottle at a tasting. Pours hazy amber. Nose is yeasty and hoppy. Fruity and piny with hints of grapefruit. Taste is very fruity with lots of grapefruity hops.
