Commercial Description:
Harvest Ale is our celebration of the changing weather and the sowing of hops and barley that will be used in our upcoming brews. We usher in the fall with a classic English style Extra Special Bitter of the highest order. Deep ruby in color with an even deeper hop flavor… in fact, we throw fresh English hops into every brewing vessel, then dry hop after fermentation to impart a zesty kick. This beer has real hop character that mingles with fresh malted barley for an experience that will make you wish it were fall year ‘round.

Nice clear, golden yellow color with a decent stark-white head. Flowery hop aromas and then a floral taste as well. Some maltiness in the back, bitterness, nice beer. I wouldn’t have suspected this is an ESB. Thanks to vwcraig for including this on a recent trade. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-26-2008 05:46:05

Bottle shared by andrew... Sweet candy sugar nose. Light orange-ish in color, ok head. Dry taste....sweet malts. Light in texture. Really easy to drink. Good beer for a session.

What a surprise this beer was. Most of the "exceptional" Southern Tier ales are only available in 22oz. bottles. Most of their 12 oz. bottles are good beers but not exceptional. Harvest Ale is exceptional. A great hoppy earthy flavor. Not much of a lasting head, but a great smooth finish. It’s a shame it’s seasonal.

Clear Gold color. WHite head quickly disappeared. Citrus and Pine aroma. Grassy start then citrus and pine flavors follow. Smooth Finish. Thin watery feel in mouth. This is a nice hoppy beer.

12 fl oz bottle into a pint glass delivered a creamy head. While not a fan of hoppy ale this ESB delivers. I believe the added fresh malted barley smoothes the tartness from the hops. A apricot flavor is faintly there and this beer is excellent.

Bottle on 10/27/2008. Clear golden body with a large frothy off-white head. Toasty and floral hoppy aroma with some cheerios. More toasty cheerios flavor, with floral hops shining through in the background. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

Bottle from dkachur. Thanks. Pleasant fruity aroma of light citrus oranges, a touch of sweet juiciness. Pours light gold with a thin soapy head. Nice fruity hops upfront with a moderately light malty mid palate. Nice juicy fruit finish. Vibrant carbonation light body quenching hops. Really sessionable and balanced.
