| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle picked up from the infamous Binny’s Singles Rack (Orland Park, IL). Straw / light gold pour slightly hazed with a moderate white head and well carbonated body. Aromas are heaven: Lemony and Orange hop citrus notes, some light candy gumballness, and mango. Yum. Taste is a bit more muted, light doughy malt is balanced over so by citrusy hops with a touch of gumball sweetness. Not so much a harvest ale as a summer sessioner. Very nice. Finishes with a prominent bitterness that lets you know it isn’t a summer brew, but lighter on malt. A different take on a harvest ale that is very sessionable, flavorful. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Pours a somewhat hazy orange color with an off white head. Aroma was sweet malty character with hints of hops im not acustom to. Flavor was really smooth nice maltiness but not too sweet, and a nice biting hop finish. This would be an excellent session beer. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Gold pour and decent head. The label is not so impressive. It has a fine floral hop aroma with hints of honey and tropical fruit. I expected this to be an Oktoberfest type of brew, but instead it tastes more like a crisp pale ale (I see that Ratebeer is calling it a premium bitter). It is light on the malt, well-hopped, and mildly astringent. The aftertaste is slightly bitter. Here is a well-crafted, flavorful dry ale. penguinjive7 (67), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2008 This one took me by surprise. I was expecting an Oktober fest brew of sorts. This one, however was packed full of delicious hops, mostly of the citrus variety. The harvest element of this brew comes through in a spicy malt character that follows the hop bitterness. Not an overly complex brew, which is not always a bad thing. Overall a great harvest brew that I will definitely get again.

Juicy, slightly biscuity maltiness in the mouth with those grassy/floral hops still abundant. Very drinkable and tasty. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
