Commercial Description:
Harvest Ale is our celebration of the changing weather and the sowing of hops and barley that will be used in our upcoming brews. We usher in the fall with a classic English style Extra Special Bitter of the highest order. Deep ruby in color with an even deeper hop flavor… in fact, we throw fresh English hops into every brewing vessel, then dry hop after fermentation to impart a zesty kick. This beer has real hop character that mingles with fresh malted barley for an experience that will make you wish it were fall year ‘round.

Bottle. Pours a dark yellow-gold, a bit hazy, with a very thing off-white head that leaves beautiful lacing. Nose is orange blossoms and a bit of resin, with some biscuity malt coming through also. Taste begins with a bit of orangey citrus and sweet biscuity malt on the font of the tongue, with some spiciness coming through from the hops also. With the swallow, a light bitterness from the hops sits on the palate, especially the back of the tongue, and the biscuity malt sweetness swells again before giving way to the spicy hops. Bigger flavor, light on the palate. Paradoxical kind of beer. Fantastic sessionability, light, but delicious.

12oz bottle. Pours clear orange with nice white head. Aroma floral hops with orange, light fruits and other citrus aromas. Flavor is hoppy with orange and sweet malt and light spices. Finishes bitter and is a bit syrupy on palate. Very good fall session beer. Nicely done ST.

Bottle. Pours a very light orange with a foamy white head. Color is a little weak. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops. Flavor of citrus hops initial with a light sweet fruity finish and subtle hoppy finish. Very nice, very refreshing, very drinkable. Excellent!

Bottle. Pours a pale orange body with a light white head. Sweet malt backbone dominated by hop resins and a winy grassy spicy hop character. Mouth tingling hop spiciness, then copper hop leaf. A bit earthy and dry. No etoh to notice, malt body stays light.

Style and Glass: ESB; English pint ABV, Volume & Calories: 5.7 % in 12 fl oz. estimated at 150 C Purchased at: Super Saver, Pennington, NJ for $2.00 Aroma: nice, wheat, hay, hops, corn, sugar. 8 out of 10. Visuals: good design, golden, clear, long lasting white head, sticky lace. 5 out of 5. Taste: expertly balanced, medium malt, medium hops, medium strength, well crafted. 10 out of 10. Palate: high quality, chalky texture, long medium bitter finish. 5 out of 5. Overall: A beautiful example of what an everyday or session brew should be, an absolute repeat, not a favorite, but it’s not my favorite style either, high value, high craft. This is what Budweiser Ale should strive hard to be. 20 out of 20.
