| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Clear, light golden body. Small, frothy white head that settles to a thin film with a bubbly rim. Spotty, snake-like lacing. Grapefruit explodes onto the nose like few other beers I have experienced. The aroma is like a freshly sliced ruby red grapefruit over a toasted wheat background, with faint hints of caramel. The flavor again starts with sharp, bitter grapefruit, followed by drying wheat. Lightly toasted caramel is present, though its simply a complimentary background flavor and it does not add much sweetness. Medium-light palate that goes down smooth and finishes with a razor-sharp grapefruit kick. Ultra-refreshing beer that would be perfect for the beach or poolside on a hot Florida day. Very nice!
