| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 23, 2008 22 oz bottle - pours slightly hazy yellow color with smallish pure white head. Aroma has honey, bananna, lime, apple, lichi, light caramel and clove. Flavor has honey, light malts, apple, bananna, coriander. Finish is mildly sweet. Overall pretty nice, although really this takes what should be a light, quaffable summer ale and turns it into a strong, almost sipping brew. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 22, 2008 22 ounce bottle in weizen glass. Fairly cloudy orange with small flat head. Mild aroma of banana spice and fruity malt. Sweet honey vanilla with peach and banana mild spicy bitter finish and lingering banana and fruit. Medium-full body and low carbo. Very nice soft mouthfeel makes this one slightly better than expected and makes it taste professional. Not quite fresh, like nearly all the beers I’ve purchased at so-called beverage centers since I moved to Long Island. thenick (746), North Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Tap @ Blind Tiger. Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy but short-lasting white head. Aroma is heavy banana and citrus, with detectable vanilla and wheat note s as well. Taste is heavy vanilla up front, detectable lemon, banana, wheat, and hops in the finish. The beer remains sublimely smooth, and the sweetness doesn’t throw it out of balance at all. Bravo! notalush (2676), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2008 I can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet! - anyway - hazy gold beer, with a clingy, soapy lace - a lot of lemon and orange zest in the aroma, with a little bit of peppery and floral character, and tangy wheat and citrus - the flavor is a little bit too sweet, but other than that, this is some pretty complex and tasty stuff - tangy orange starts things out before the sweetness become dominant - as the sweetness develops, so do strong flavors of flowers and herbs, reminiscent of a saison - a tiny bit of phenolic character/banana reminds you that this is supposed to be a weizen - a bit of ginger and pepper in the finish - a little bit of hops and herbal bitterness as well - a decent offering, but I’d like it more if it were dry rather than sweet. satan165 (599), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 18, 2008 22oz bottle poured to hoegaarden tumbler. aroma is typical for the style, as is nicely clouded orange hue; reminscent of a glassof egg wash waiting for its baker. flavor however is a perfect blend of traditional weizen flavors combined with a punch to the frontal lobe. very spicy and nearly puckering. after tasting, the nose mutates to include some of the notes from the flavor. i love to use mainstream import weizens as session beers, but ST has ’repaired’ the style to compensate for some of the downfalls of those beers: low % and a bland palate upon repeated drinkings. this i would love to buy in 12 packs carl4beer (401), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2008 22oz. bottle. Spicy, malty aroma, plenty of clove and banana esters to be found, along with lighter touches of citrus, malt sweetness, grassy hop and wheat grains. Cloudy medium-dark straw yellow color with a lasting, fine head and thin strands of lace. Flavor is very lightly sweet to start with a touch of honey, turning mildly bitter and peppery, and finishing with notes of lemony citrus, leafy herbs, clovey spice, and lingering malt sugars. Alcohol presence is quite difficult to detect. Mouthfeel is smoothly effervescent, active and with a slight acidic edge, body is certainly fuller than your standard Weizen. This seems about like it should be.
