Not a bg fan of these filtered wheats, seems to take a bit of the edge from the wheatness. The taste are hardly reminiscent of a wheat beer at all... only a little wheat in the flavor. Aroma is kinda weak and pissy, with a little bit of citrus perhaps, but slightly offensive still. Taste is grassy, some grapefruit, a tiny bit of wheat... really nothing special. Tastes like a weak APA. lamas (718), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA

A clear gold pour with a smallish off-white head. Some lemon and grapefruit in the crisp, wheaty aroma. Thin-bodied with above-average carbonation. Semi-sweet maltiness starts things off taste-wise. Grass, grapefruits, and zesty lemon peels follow. A crisp, drying finish. Definitely drinkable. DrnkMcDermott (1852), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

In my G.I. 312 glass (a smaller weizen) I see a nice, golden head under a puffy head. A bit of bubblegum smell wafts over from the pour. Some nice fresh hops in the nose. Taste shows an almost immediate balance between spicy hops and spicy wheat malts. Lemon notes in the middle. Nice blend of American Wheat and Pale Ale, stays happy all the way through. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear light orange/yellow with a small white head. Aroma of resiny hops and citrus fruits. Pretty hoppy aroma for a wheat ale! Flavor is bitter hops upfront with lots of citrus (oranges particularly) in the finish. Very enjoyable! More of an IPA or pale ale in flavor (but that’s a plus for me!).

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 19, 2009 I don’t think I can really call this amber pour a wheat. It was too hoppy and granted that is in the name but I didn’t get anything summery and wheat like from it. It is super smooth almost watery but that isn’t a bad thing. Very drinkable but misleading. fredandboboflo (1418), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 19, 2009 Bottle. Smelled it (awesome), tasted it (still awesome), took a few sips (same), then came here and read the commercial description. And I was quite impressed that they really have it right on, from how the beer comes together to how it plays out. Where the barley ends, the wheaty malt presence begins, and where its citrusy feel ends, a great deal of tropical hops begin. Seamless through and through, great blend of all the components. Superbly drinkable, strong medium body, the filtering doesn’t seem to affect the mouthfeel, and what’s lost from a more typical unfiltered wheat is more than admirably replaced by the hopping. Great stuff, I’m a bit shocked by the lowish ratings, but I guess 95.8 in style isn’t terrible. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA
