Commercial Description:
Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you'll realize that this isn't your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun's bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

Yeast and wheat aroma. Slightly sweet smell. Hazy golden color with a small white head. Mild bitterness in the beginning with a sweet finish. Palate is weak in the ending.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber with a medium white head. Nice wheat aromas with a hint of citrus. Medium bodied, slightly sweet. Finishes almost empty with a little grain flavor, almost a touch of citrus, and a bit of bitterness. Needs a little more citrus at the end (and I’d rather not have to supply the wedge of lemon to do it), and this would be a nice easy drinking lawnmower beer. As is, it’s a little weak.

Decent. Definitely a summer beer. This is good for porch sitting days. Crisp, clean. Some malts with a bit of hops. Nicely balanced. Short finish. A bit of lemon zest gives it a brightness. Looking to toss back some and hang outside on a nice Spring or Summer day? This will fit the bill nicely.

Sampled at the ST tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 3.19.09. Clear gold/copper pour with a thin white head. Citrusy hop aroma with malt and wheat. Very crisp flavor with lots of earthy hop taste. I cringe when I see the words wheat and beer next to one another, but this one is very good. I can see why so many people call this the perfect summer session beer.

Bottle. Aroma of yeast and citrus. Clear apple juice body, small head. Flavorful for a wheat beer, mostly malts and lemon, with a slightly bitter finish. Quite good.

Brewed in the USA....... Courtesy of AFI96 thanks waylo. Pours a pale yellow color with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, malts and wheat. Taste is of citrus, hops, and lemons. The mouthfeel is very spritzy at first then turns kind of floral at the finish. Pretty refreshing summer ale even in winter.

12oz bonus from someone very recently, maybe MrBunn. Pours pale yellow with a big huge puffy head. Nose is sweet and light. Taste is light and refreshing and works well in my hot house after my girlfriend made bread. Nice refreshing wheat.
