Commercial Description:
Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you'll realize that this isn't your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun's bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. A decent summer beer. Has subtle wheat notes, a bit fruity, but the hops really kick in for an intense finish. I think the hops variety that is used should be altered to something more palatable. The finish is reminiscent of a melted plastic taste. Other hop varieties contribute great IBU’s without tasting ridiculous. With a different kind of hops, this beer could really be outstanding.

Bottle received via trade with yobdoog. Pours clear dark yellow with a spare, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, hay, straw, cereal), average hops (flowers, grass, citrus), average yeast (barnyard, earth) with notes of apple and pear. Light bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness and acidity, moderate bitterness.

Bottle. Clear golden color with a bright white head. Smells and tastes very citrusy, mainly lemon, herbal, some wheat. Very tasty, a great hot weather beer.

Bottle: Pours a hazy blonde color with a nice white head. The nose is lightly husky with a faint fragrant hop note. Some toast and light citrus notes in the flavor with a decent mouthfeel for a wheat beer. The finish is creamy and lotiony. Decent enough.

This is a great summer brew...beautiful golden color, hoppy aroma, an unexpected combination of wheat and hops that creates a really full flavor and an interesting mouthful

Gold, thin white fizzy head. Nose held a sweet citrus and floral wheat-like tone. Light hoppy citrus flavors ride a clean earthy wheat note from start to finish. Light bodied, soft carbonation, crisp, light bitter finish. A good summer session brew as it is what it is...
