Commercial Description:
Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you'll realize that this isn't your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun's bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

Pours a clear golden color with thin white head. Nothing special about the aroma or flavor. Hints of lemon, wheat and hops. Quite boring and flat. Dissapointing beer from a great brewery.

12oz bottle. Pours light golden color with good lacing, tons of visual carbonation with a shake of the glass. Taste is initially hoppy with funky lemon and citrus notes.. somewhat metallic. Thin bodied. Not what i would consider a wheat beer.

Good fusion beer.... small white head decent lacing. I was thinking it would be a typical wheat beer but had a nice hop mouth feel... not bad I will finish the sixer.

Clear golden with a nice big fluffy white head and good spotted lacing. Smell is floral pollen hops. Flavor is a bit bland and watery and reminds me of a pale lageer almost. Has a muted bitter finish but is quite doughy in the flavor behind the big watery backbone. Mouthfeel is average - thin but fitting. Metallic doughy finish just doesnt leave you wanting much more.

On tap @ The Ginger Man in NYC. Pours golden with a nice white head. The aroma has clean wheat, some citric notes and some spicy hops. Not a huge amount of hops on the aroma.... that changes on the taste. Medium clean crisp body with graininess and semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts out with rich wheat and then a blast of hops comes in and takes over with spice, pine and a pine needle aspect. The hops are way out front. The finish dries out considerably and is very pleasant. A nice refreshing beer that I which we got back in STL. (7/3//3/16 -3.7) <P> Rerate notes: Was able to score a sixer of this on a recent road trip and need to slightly bump the numbers. This must rate where it does from people not getting fresh bottles or trying to put their numbers in line with the average. A hop bomb at 4.6% is wonderful. The aroma when not at arctic temperatures from a bar is spicy / citrus hop bliss with some wheat hanging out in the back. If this were available at home during the summer my fridge would be stocked with this and Schlafly kolsch ~ both under 5.0% abv, full of flavor and reasonably priced. Southern Tier ~ please bring the six packs to STL along with the bombers.

Nice hoppy aroma. Good wheat summer look. Very nice flavor and intersting for a summer wheat. Hop sun has a great summer hop flavor. It stays on the tounge with a subtle and enjoyable hoppy aftertaste, but not outstanding. I thought it was a good wheat ale and I was impressed with the incorperation of a great hoppy flavor.

Bottle. Poured mostly clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma is light citrus, lemons mostly, some wheat. Good wheat flavor with a nice hop bite, more citrus. Light and refreshing. Good summer brew.

Bottle. Poured a hazy golden body with huge head. Aroma is light lemon citrus, hops. Flavor is light lemony citrus, bitter, a small noticable wheat character. Well carbonated. Very champagne like.
